(after IE didn't let me log in :S) So, yeah, I got an 18 year old NEC Versa laptop connected to the Internet and posting from Windows for Workgroups 3.11 using Opera 3.62 (16-bit) :D

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any newer browser than that, and IE 5.1 didn't want to log in or connect to certain websites ;) Still, I made a custom boot menu that lets me choose Windows 3.11, DOS 6.22, or just shut down the computer (using some tips from here)... also added an old WinZip, an old 16-bit IrfanView, and a couple other programs and games :D

1996 called, they want their laptop back. Where do you want to go today?

Unfortunately, although it's functional, the layout was quite messed up in both Internet Explorer and Opera, but only the latter let me log in :P Sometimes I wish there was something similar to iCab for older versions of Windows, heh ;)

iCab, until recently, was the only web browser that still supported classic versions of Mac OS on 68K and PowerPC Macintosh computers ;) Unfortunately for Windows 3.1x users, the last browser was Opera 3.62 released in 2000 or 2001 :P (in comparison, Windows 95 can run anything up to Firefox 2.x and Opera 10.63)

Yes, Metro is too weird. Stop optimizing everything for touch. PLEASE.

Also, I always thought it was weird that 3.11 was called "Windows for Workgroups".

I'm not sure if I ever used 3.11. LOL. I think the earliest I have ever used is either 95 or 98.

I've used Windows 3.1, but it wasn't for workgroups (except on the school computers).

I actually didn't like Windows 95 when it was new. I wanted my Program Manager and DOS support back.

Need to load an FTP client on there, and probably an ancient mIRC too ;)
