Man, all these people who clutter up their desktops with icons. It just makes me feel bad looking at it. :(

Why? It would seem like wasted space to just leave it clean and shining all the time.

Simple is nice!

My Favorite Window Manager used to be WindowMaker (I don't use it on my *NIX install save one VM now because it's poor Mutli head support for how I like) Very simple and clean too. Back in the day I stared using it only icons where the ones in the dock. (I ended up cluttering it up with a lot of launchers and WMdockapps but heh started clean)

Hmm, never used WindowMaker. What's it like?

I always enjoy trying out new WMs/DEs.

It's basically a NeXTSTEP/OPENSTEP interface. Here is a screenshot. There are dockapps that can be added to it to add status meters, apps/functionality, or hell there is just the matrix code going over and over again.
