Where were you when the terrorists crashed the planes?

I was on the school bus when it actually started, but first heard about it in the first class of the day, which was science. I was doing some forgettable assignment. That teacher was pretty laissez-faire, let us do whatever we wanted, so some students had a radio on. I didn't really pay attention to it at first but then people started talking about planes crashing into buildings. At first I thought it was just some drunk pilot near the airport or something, then HOLY FUCK WE'RE UNDER ATTACK.

I remember hearing a lot of false reports at first. The students were parroting the news and trying to get the TV and Internet working. They said planes crashed into the White House and the Empire State Building, and it took a while to figure out which buildings were actually hit.

The rest of the day, we watched the news in every class but one. Fifth-period English still went on as usual despite protests from the students.
