Microsoft has officially bought Mojang now. According to IGN, Mincecraft version on non-Microsoft hardware such as PS4 and iOS will still be supported. IGN also said that people will most likely be able to make Minecraf videos and mods. What is Microsoft even going to do with Mojang?
We don't actually know. At all. (Which might be why people are freaking out. We don't know what they're going to do at all. They could do nothing. In theory, they could ruin everything. I personally err a little more on the side of nothing and Mojang is just a midlife crisis-type purchase.) |

I generally got the impression Notch wanted to move on from Minecraft for quite awhile now, so he selling off his share didn't come off as a surprise to me (and might be something he been trying for awhile now).
