I never got that either. Apparently NGC is Neo-Geo Color, although I never thought that console was all that popular. But why not just GC? Do abbreviations need to contain at least 3 letters?

I still don't understand why people call the console GCN. GameCube Nintendo?
That's the short form Nintendo themselves use. Just look at any Mario Kart. They refer to tracks like GCN Luigi Circuit for the Double Dash tracks.

The GameCube (Japanese: ゲームキューブ Hepburn: Gēmukyūbu?, officially called Nintendo GameCube, abbreviated NGC in Japan and Europe and GCN in North America) is a video game console released by Nintendo on September 14, 2001 in Japan and November 18, 2001 in North America.


Nintendo Power once said that Nintendo suggested the abbreviation of GCN I think. Nintendo was keen on keeping their N in the abbreviated names for their systems.


So yea, no one really knows. Might have to ask Reggie.

Right to left only effects vertical writing. Japanese is Left to right in horizontally. Most often they will bind books right-to-left regardless..

I don't have a way to type kana on this computer.. but the NGC is the same name arrangement in katakana.

There's a point practice won't improve you. I can't cut things in a perfectly straight line.. but if only I cut something like the cheese.. you get slices eventually.
