I talked Phy into showing me the ropes of Terraria.
I have sank 12 hours into a character between the time I played with him and some solo time I put in. So far, I've expanded my HP 360 and capped out my mana. We've blown past Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, and Skeletron. We're also only missing three pre-Hardmode NPCs, they are: the Witch Doctor, the Party Girl, and the Stylist. I'm decked out in Meteor armor with the Space Gun. I also have a katana that I bought from an early traveling merchant, a wooden hammer, and a Demonite pickaxe and axe. All in all, I'm really enjoying the game so far. |

The Dark Cut games are good I've played them about three times.
Also I was playing Terraria fairly recently on my mum's tablet (no idea why or how she had it) because I didn't have my laptop with me, I got to about silver level gear I think and an extra mana point because you apparently start with one on the tablet version. The controls are a bit obtuse on the tablet though. Also, one thing I've realised about GTA V is that Michael Townley/De Santa/Whatever and John Marston both have basically the same back story and motivations. Both were in a criminal gang which was formed out of a want to break the status quo. Both left that life, to make a family with a prostitute they knew in that life. Both made deals with the feds to betray their old gangs in order to get out. Both regret the horrible things they've done and just want to live a normal life. Edit: Also both have a preternatural ability that lets them slow down time and shoot things better. ____________________ |

Been playing more of The Sims 3. Switched to a new household because playing a rich one sucks big time. Smaller, poor families are much more fun to play. Especially when you put them in a profession, which isn't the most stable income. The world could always use more heroes! |

Just sank about six hours into Breath of Fire since I noticed that it was finally up on the Wuu eShop, which is weird when you consider that BoF2 has been up for quite a while.
I made it to Auria and was making my way through the Cave of Light and Dark. I straight up fucking ragequit for the night (morning? Dunno if you want to argue semantics since it's almost 7AM as I type this) because an enemy that had been entirely harmless to me for the entirety of the dungeon crawl decided to pull a party kill out of its ass. That enemy is Bully, which is the green palette swap of the thing from the beginning of the game. There was literally nothing I could have done to avert the wipe. He cast T-bolt and hit my party for more damage than anyone had for a max HP. The fucker hit Ryu for 130 damage! My team is sitting at level 14-16. Ryu is my bulkiest with 118 max HP. It wouldn't have bothered me and I would have kept playing, but I was carrying all of my gold on me and wiping makes you drop a hefty chunk of it. If I wasn't trying to get the gold bar, I would've just said "fuck it" and continued, but since (according to a guide I'm using) it's an integral item, I need to roll back my save... Which I don't remember how much I'm going to be losing because I have a bad habit of fucking up the adage of "save early, save often" remembering the former, but neglecting the latter. Not fun. EDIT: Reloaded my save to check where I'm falling back to. Fan-MOTHERFUCKING-tastic! I lost all the way back to right before the Gremlin boss fight. That fight took me twenty cnting minutes because I kept having to stop wailing on the bastard to heal. Need I mention the fact that I HATE the Second Wind mechanic in this game? It doesn't bother me that it's a thing, but I hated how it was introduced on the first boss, and I got killed because I wasn't expecting it to say "Frog is feeling better" and got back (what I assume to be) all of his goddamn HP. I was expecting the fucker to die and be done with it, so I didn't heal. First attack after the second wind killed me. What bothers me about this mechanic is that it doesn't tell you how much HP they're recovering by, oh I dunno, REFILLING THEIR HP BAR! So you end up having to blindly wail on shit and pray you're almost done. I'm surprised this series was so popular with such a bullshit "feature" in place. I can only assume it was fixed later on. |

The only game I've really played recently is Minecraft, this last few times on xkeeper's server for Jul. For some reason I have never really been into video games much...

Been playing a mix of Breath of Fire, Starbound, and a really shitty text "RPG" browser game called Lords of Lords.
I just got Ox to join in BoF. I'm trying to find Uranium in Starbound for making Durasteel and upgrading my ship, Matter Manipulator, and equipment. In Lords of Lords, I have a level 837 million Dwarf Fighter (thanks to one of the admins sending me a veritable fuckload of exp) and a level 6 million Elf Mage (also thanks to the admin sending her exp). The game is now nothing more than a primitive, GUI-less Cookie Clicker. * I also did my practice run of my next LP! It's only a year overdue! I recorded it with Bandicam for the shits of it, and it clocked in at two hours and two minutes. That includes me stopping to yell at Trapster for trying to chat with me on Steam (I swear the guy only wants to talk when I'm busy or otherwise not in the mood to talk  ) and taking a piss break (because doing precision platforming when you auto-jump in the bonus game is hard to pull off easily when you're busting for a piss). |
