I took a small look at Super Mario 3D World's files. This is how they are organized. Much of the data, such as models and sounds, is archived in .szs format. I believe you'll need to use yaz0dec to decompress the files and szstools to extract the data, but I've currently only looked at how the files are organized.

I'm just lazy to use SARC extract at the moment. It'd be nice if I take a closer look and help out with the SM3DW editor but you'll have to blame my lazy ass. :P
