Here's the funny thing:
I built up my city, and thought "hey, it'd be fun to put a Sim in here to see what he thinks". So I selected a Sim and put him in one of the poor neighborhoods, and what is the first message? "DEGREE GET, now in middle class" Instant degree much? How does that even work? Can you do that in real-life too? I'm interested  |

The MySim feature is buggy and at times pointless so I usually avoid using it. But yeah, if you have enough education then the sims in the MySim feature advance ridiculous fast, usually on a unrealistic short timespan. I recall putting a sim within a slum only to find him in luxary apartments a year later.
And the more annoying part of them is complaining about things that turns out to not be an issue at all if you manually look at the stats. The trailer for anyone who hadn't seen it.
