Rick and Morty is an original black comedy show on Adult Swim created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon about the misadventures of a misanthropic, alcoholic mad scientist and his mildly retarded grandson, respectively.
The show just started into its second season and I'm trying to get caught up because I've been hearing good things about it. So far, I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It's just one of those shows I can't pin down what I like about it. Anyone else following the show? |

Don't even get me started on Rick and Morty. Fucking love the show. Although I'm fairly sure Dan Harmon can do no wrong. It's incredibly well written and is just soo tropey while at the same time lampshading those tropes. Best sci-fi show in recent history. ____________________ |

I've watched all of season one four times already. So much fun.
The writing is top notch, and I love the humor. There are a few scenes I can't comfortably watch though. As much as I love the episode Rixty Mintes, the "commercial" for Strawberry Smiggles is just painful for me. However, M Night Sham-Aliens is hilarious the whole way through and I can't get enough. |

I watched the leaked episodes last night.
S02E02 was interesting given Morty's moral dilemma, and S02E03 was a little dark, even for this show. Granted it lightens up again in the stinger. Being vague on purpose. |

I wanted to support the show, so I bought the Bluray of Season 1.
Aside from the headache involved with not being able to play it without a special media player since getting AACS to decrypt in VLC is an obfuscated nightmare, I'm pretty happy with it. It came with the One True Morty bible tract from Close Rickounters, which is all kinds of hilarious to me. |

Season 2 only just began. It speaks volumes to the show's quality that it already has the okay for a third season. |

Indeed a season 3 is on the docket. It's too good of a show. This and Bob's are my gotos for animation. Tonights looks fun.
