Yep. Pretty self explanatory. Unless you're not a fan and if not, why not?

OMG, Taryn posting in a movie thread? Well, I used to watch them more like 10 years ago, and the SW series was my favourite.

My fave overall was always A New Hope.

Also, the originals are a googolplex times better than the prequels. I remember once some people at work were talking about how to introduce the SW movies to a newcomer to the series, originals first or prequels first. Seriously, should you be asking that? If you want your friend to be a Star Wars fan, and the first movie they see is Jar-Jar Binks and midichlorians, you're unlikely to be as successful ^_~

I agree, the original three (A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) were far superior to the newer ones. Yeah, the newer ones have the flashy effects, and my fav character (Qui-Gon Jinn), but imo that still doesn't beat the originals. Especially looking at the fact the original three were made in the late 70s, early 80s, they did a phenominal job with telling the story as well as the effects.

Saw it for the third time yesterday myself... will likely see it again when I get back to Boston, none of the theatres here have IMAX.

So far, I'd probably place V (The Empire Strikes Back) at the top... on the bottom would be I (The Phantom Menace) mainly due to Jar-Jar Binks ;) (to be fair, TPM at least had some good characters like Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn too)

Recently I rewatched TPM (while, admittedly, a bit buzzed) with Mary and we agreed that it's actually not as bad as the reputation goes; possibly the best of the prequels. (It also benefits from having the least CGI of the three, despite Jar Jar)

My favorite is A New Hope (1977) i love that movie, it is so cool, i really like the parts where Han Solo does his part like with Greedo and infiltrating the cell when he talks to the man in the speaker and then he SHOOTS the speaker, that is so COOL!

Empire Strikes Back.

There simply is nothing quite like the original trilogy.
