Very curious about what the hardware is; suspicion it's some kind of Wii derivative so they can run th existing VC games. (Note that the VC games feature alterations to conform to modern standards, especially about flashing colors, but these are generally not implemented as alterations to the ROM)

So basically, it's an official emulator styled like a Mini NES, that doesn't support external cartridges. Then again as it will probably run some kind of VC variant I'm not too surprised about this.

It's not like it matters for me or anything - even if I'd wanted to buy one I couldn't due to where I live. In any case this whole thing seems interesting.

Also the controllers for the NES Classic Edition will be compatible with Wii Remote and Wii U for Virtual Console :) (I always thought the port on the Wii Remote looked a bit like a FireWire port to me ^_~)

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this, but I never know how that would change because I've played these classic game back then when I was a little and played games on the real NES console. So, then I didn't know that those classic games have minor, or huge errors in game until now. :\

From what I've seen, the most common corrections are to remove flashing colors or overly-fast animations out of epilepsy concerns; nothing huge.

I'm pissed off, I can't manage to get my hands on the NES Mini cause according to Gamestop, Nintendo didn't make enough...

I've been looking on Amazon and eBay for one and people are selling them for crazy ass prices! There was a user selling one for $10,000! This wasn't an issue when Nintendo sold their old console years ago, there was enough to go around... -_-

I think I'm gonna give up into getting one, I have the nes emulator with 898mb of nintendo games and hacks, I ordered a nes usb controller for $10. ^_^
