So, you know how when you quote a post, it takes you to the new reply page and you can reply to it from there?
Well, if you try quoting another post after this, all your text will disappear, losing what you wrote. This is particularly annoying in ask threads when trying to answer multiple questions. I know Kuribo64 uses multi-quoting, and I really like their system. It quotes the post and doesn't take you to the new reply page, it takes you to the bottom of the page and inserts the quote in the Quick Reply (called Warp Whistle Reply here) box on the bottom. You can continue quoting from there as well, and it won't erase text. This also works if you've clicked the new reply page AFAIK. (Staple would have to confirm that though, not exactly sure) Either way, it'd help out with answering questions in ask threads and responding to different things  |

Posted by skyu it does, yeah. it's a quick JS addon to the Quote links: if a reply form is present, it queries the quote via AJAX and puts it there, otherwise it opens the newreply page as usual. also means that it doesn't break if JS is disabled-- you just get the old functionality. it could probably be ported real quick to this board, since it already has the quickreply form and all. ____________________ Kuribo64 - melonDS want some revolution in your coffee? |

In the meantime, simply paste what you have to post in your PC's notepad before quoting. It's a bit anooying, but works |
