I tend to separate fruit flavours and chocolate-like flavours. :P

For example, the "classic" strawberry-lemon ice cream never fails to deliver.

Made some small tweaks, like setting the margin to remove extraneous lines off the end result.

But most importantly, the top bar now shows info such as post count, days and level. This is important because the top bar was always meant to be like this since its first incarnation on Jul. I couldn't figure out how to insert those extra info there (and it turns out that you can't) so I put the layout version as a temporary replacement. The temporary thing lasted much more than I wanted to, but eh.

While I've done this a week ago or so...

...I managed to complete Wario Land 4's Super Hard Mode, or as I call it "BS Mode", as you get enemies in places you don't want them to be, such as in the end of a vertical shaft. At least there were so many of those the life meter fills up relatively quickly. This also means you have no hope whatsoever to try to perfect on this mode, but eh...

The only really hard parts were Domino Row, Pinball Zone, and that darn first boss that you have to be pixel-perfect or the time runs out (you have 15 seconds to defeat him!).
The final boss wasn't too bad as long as you manage to keep the hammer. Four minutes are enough for that.

And this also marks the first time I managed to defeat Aerodent without screwing up the dash attack thingy once! And that was on the first attempt! :o

I ported the Jul mockup board settings some time ago

This is nothing special. It was a sort of experiment to see if I could port the thing from the Jul source, update the settings to the AB2 equivalent (and add some extra things) and make it actually do something.

The only thing that doesn't work is the "Board Info", because I realized that it was plain unnecessary to have four extra SQL queries for that, so I went back to the standard way.

Kinda pointless imo to have a panel for modifying the board version/credits. Same goes for the views and other stats.

Other than that, things like board lockdown are handy to have.

(also would be nicer if the date fields were actual date fields and not UNIX timestamps, but I'm nitpicking)

That's the unmodified panel from the Jul source. It doesn't work though, since there aren't any actions programmed when you click "Save Settings".

Since I based the thing off that... you get the idea. :|

The whole purpose of the test board is "Port everything you can and somehow make it work" anyway. :P

HOT threshold is a nice idea though. Another thing that could (should) make it into such a panel is the trash forum ID.


I dunno. I have set the threshold settings on the config.php thing. I even had placed a nice TO-DO (see picture) that never happened. :|

EDIT: I checked now how I did the check, and it turns out it's a somewhat broken port of the Jul code that I never bothered to properly "fix". :|
