ABXD 3.0 with the fixes that were pushed about 2 weeks ago or so is actually pretty stable and has very low bugs, and is generally rather secure. Only issue is MySQL 5.7 isn't supported, but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Having something that's consistently updated is really the only way to be secure in the long run... which no Acmlmboard version has been consistently great at

I've occasionally thought about doing a forum software in node.js that would probably have Acmlm-like elements... but I have no need for a forum.

The nice thing about games as a passion project is that they have a point of being "done" and you don't have to work on them anymore
