Posted by DarkWitchClaire I haven't gotten far enough, but Maison Ikkoku has been nice so far. It's getting a proper release from VIZ fairly recently. Most people only know Rumiko Takahashi for Lum, Ranma or Inuyasha and nobody really gives much of a shit about that one. There was also that one really funny manga where the elf constantly tries to get raped by an orc that I forget the name of. Posted by DarkWitchClaire I wouldn't call this a "bad game", per say, but an example I encountered semi-recently was with Under Night In-Birth. As a fighting game it has a lot of unique ideas gameplay-wise, such as the GRD system and vorpal cycle and the characters themselves have interesting and unique gimmicks... but man, everything else about the game is just so okay. The character designs and general world of the game doesn't get me excited for a fight, the music is alright at best, for a fighting game it really lacks that "coolness" factor. I don't feel cool playing as any of those characters. Posted by Nicolyn I ought to give this a try, I enjoyed Ranma a lot despite the series kind of dropping in quality past the third season or so for me. Around the time English Ranma got a new voice. I'm glad they were forced to create their own art, I'm personally a sucker for that "90's anime in pixel art form" sort of style and am making a game at the moment that is planned to have that sort of style. I really should get back into learning Japanese. It's a super difficult language, but very fun. Kanji really trips me up though. It wouldn't be so bad if each one didn't have 2-4 different pronunciations. Hiragana/katakana I'm pretty good with, though I can't write in them for shit.
