Can you explain the origin of the name "Ailure"?

Ooof, it orginates from December 2003 (or possible November) where people joked around about Nekophilia, and then someone (Imajin I think?) corrected that it would be Ailurophilia. Someone (Anya?) renamed me to Ailuros or Ailure, and then Ailure just got stuck. Those days are silly, and frankly a little emberassing looking back. But it was all good fun.

Work is going well for me, I kinda wish I would work less on legacy cruft though and more on shiny Java things.

How do people know about the red panda thing, i'm still using my cat avatars on this forum haha. Admittly it started as a joke, as someone thought I based my name on the latin name for Red panda (I did not, it was a coincidence). Then it stuck as I switched as a joke.

Super Mario Bros for NES. This was possible sometime during 1990 or 1991. All I remember is that I insisted on calling Mario for the "Video game guy". :p

I remember things more clearly post Super Mario Allstars, such as being upset when SMB3 glitched out as I thought it was broken (was just usual NES glitching), and that I played some PC games early such as a demo of Transport tycoon in 1994-1995.

I hadn't seen much recently, it's mostly small silly things (like programs that likes to write blank files cause of unfinished logging etc). That said, the current legacy programming language I work with have it's own fun quirks.. so maybe I have something to write about soon.

I generally got the impression Notch wanted to move on from Minecraft for quite awhile now, so he selling off his share didn't come off as a surprise to me (and might be something he been trying for awhile now). Problem is that with a company like Mojang got a IP so lucrative that there isn't really many companis who could buy them.
