The Post Welcome to the thread. It's nice of you to come by. Come in, come in - no, it's quite alright, just wipe your shoes on the little mat there. This is the town of Mountainia. Don't laugh at the name, I'd like to see you find a town with a better name on this continent. If you'll look off to the north, you'll see the Focus Tower - where all the land's peace comes from. However, the doors in the Focus Tower are all locked. This is known throughout the land. We have the finest blacksmith in the land living in our humble town, though, and he is willing to use adamantite to forge keys to the tower doors. It's your job to go out and find the adamantite for him. You young adventurers are perfect for the job, actually. There has been a lot of monsters hanging around everywhere, but the only people who stand a chance against them come holding Tree Withers. Which I see you already have. So, please, choose your class, and we'll see how you do against monsters on our very own Hill of Destiny. CLASSES Hero 
The most well rounded class, however, he has the weakest HP. Learns all types of magic. Specializes in swords. Druid 
Highest defense, high speed, middle of the road magic. Good for tanking. Specializes in axes. Black Mage 
Weakest attack stat and low defense, but highest Magic Power. Learns all types of magic. Specializes in claw weapons, which inflict many kinds of status effects. Soldier 
Highest attack stat, highest starting HP, and can use the special Morning Star weapon at level 21, but low Magic Power. May have a slow stat gain curve... Ninja 
Highest overall health and speed, but lowest Magic Power. Specializes in limited ammunition weapons, like shuriken, bow and arrows, and bombs. Green Mage 
High hp, low defense, low speed, average attack, highest starting magic and averaged levels in black and wizard magic, which is abnormal compared to the other mage characters. Does not get white magic, or weapon specialties. Yes, this will work a lot like the "easiest RPG on the SNES". There's no overworld, though. Monsters will come in groups dependant on the amount of players playing. For example, with three players, we could have between three and nine monsters, usually somewhere around six. Current Players
If you can't tell from that, there's eight player slots, Go ahead and ask for a recolour if you want one. If you're clear enough with the colours, I'm willing to make it, as long as there's no outright edits of the sprite. |

The Post If everyone's ready we can start, if not then we can wait for more people. =p Oh, and the row you're in matters. The back row has double defense, but half attack. Magic power isn't affected, though. EDIT: Also, the starting town has a shop in it. Completely forgot to post that. =\ Hint: Mouse over the items to see their description!  - 25 GP, goes into combined inventory, max 99
 - 150 GP, each party member can only hold one Cure spellbook
 - 150 GP, each party member can only hold one Sword type weapon
 - 400 GP, each party member can only hold one Axe type weapon
I'll keep editing the main post with the current party until we start. Then I'll have the current party in my latest post. If you want to sell something, it goes for half the buying price. One more thing. I'm buying Cure. =p |

The Post Well, it's not exactly about winning, is it? Not for me, at least. I'm in it for the fun of it. And I've conditioned myself to get the two warp whistles in World 1 and warp straight to world 8 with them. I'd be willing to do the game without warps, though. =p |

The Post It's really easy to leave leftovers of it, too. I ordered four pizzas for myself at the same time recently, since my family is going out on vacation and I'm staying home to watch the house. Three of them were frozen to eat later, and the fourth is already gone. |

ATTACK | MAGIC | ITEM | DEFEND Defending takes up your turn, but you either recieve half the damage you would have, or you can cover someone else and take damage for them. |

The Post Alright, since I apparently wasn't clear enough and the game seems to be dying, combat calculation is automated. You still need to input attacks or item usage every turn. |

I should probably explain rows. =p It's pretty standard stuff, front row doesn't have any alterations, while back row does half physical damage and takes half physical damage. Ranged attacks like Spells and some special weapons aren't affected by rows. Monsters so far don't have any ranged attacks, so if you plan on using spells, you probably want to be in the back. |
