Usually I can just tell where people are going to post before they post it :P Also, I used to see a bunch of pages I didn't have access to, but now I have total information awareness and that is no longer a benefit :P

Depends on what browser you use :P Apparently Chrome is worse about that sort of thing than Firefox, from what I've heard.

And of course Firefox is the one true browser. :P

Amen to that! IT is the only browser who's interface doesn't seem to suck so horribly and seems to have Adblock work better. Not to mention Chrome and IE like pop up SOOO many instances of itself it seems in processes. Mine is one that just eats up 600MB+ at times due to my many tabs. It is still alive and kicking so all is well.


Why is my college so freaking stupid and having FF stay at version 4 and IE 8? Why is the tech center like the one place that doesn't have air dryers? xD

Well usually IE 8 is a sign of XP worship :P

But I dunno; a lot of the time corporate/college IT departments want to have strict approval processes and never get around to approving updated browsers... especially with such rapid version increasing on the part of Fx and Chrome (Chrome likes to hide in userland to avoid this)

Though, Firefox will be joining the realm of many processes at some point, from what I hear.

As for the air dryers, I guess they enjoy a humid climate at the tech center? :P
