So I just realized that we don't really have a suggestion box. So here we go :)

Any suggestions or random feature ideas can be posted here. I will personally read everyone one, and I know the dev team willl likely do the same.

Of course since we can't please everyone, nor can we do everything suggested we may not be able to use all the suggestions. Also it make take us a long time to get to something suggested as well. :)

However submit it, we'll have it :D

So here's what brought the idea of this thread to light: More post stats. We have things like number of posts, number of threads, and even levels and experience. What other post stats could we have?

I'd suggest something interesting; a whole new (deeper) level of post stats.


  • Average words/letters per post

  • Biggest pottymouth

  • Punctuation murderer (detected by spaces on both sides of punctuation marks)

  • Most smilies used (and which ones)

  • Most referenced links

  • Most popular words/letters



And other fun stuff. Whaddya guys think? Also, any other suggestions?

Refresh when an user enters the board, and display it online, and after 5 mins passed without doing nothing, the user would then be considered away.

+ Click the "NEW!" image next to a thread and it sends you to the first unread post.
+ Checkbox next to "Disable post layout" that disables emoticons (perhaps you could label it "Disable emoticons" :)).

@gridatttack: Totally possible, would just require some javascript magic.

To prevent issues with harassment and spam, only allow banned users to direct PMs to members of staff who have the power to apply and remove bans.

Another option might be to have a separate "Ban from sending PMs" setting. So banned users can normally PM, but if they abuse the privilege or are just a spammer they lose it.

Last view: 1095 days 		There's already the ability to remove the PM ability. Although the ability to send it only to staff is a good idea I'll keep in mind when I do some code work with PMs. Right now my main focus is elsewhere, heh.

In fact we can disabled the ability for people to read from anything as long as a single thread if we need to :) PM has been disabled for our little friend.

Anyway, if we don't find the original artist who made them, we could try copying the style.
(they use pillow shading for coloring)
But here is the first time I see on an acmlm board the :@ smiley. The ABDX D: smiley is different.

I think it would be nice to have a checkbox "Report This Edit" while editing posts. Some edits are substantial enough to be reported, but there's no real reason to clutter up IRC when fixing little typos or whatever.

Making it optional is a good idea too. Some people might want it known and some don't.

Last view: 500 days 		Adding an editprofile.php toggle for the RPG stats and other elements being displayed in the post sidebar would be nice.

I mean, the exp, level, etc doesn't really mean all that much, and adding a toggle for it might be a good idea?

Perhaps it could be a feature that comes with the custom title text when you 'unlock' it.
