What are some of the most annoying things that you experience in video games? I have a few annoyances that often get on my nerves...
- Getting into another random battle right after taking one step after finishing one... sometimes happens to me in games like FF6 (OTOH, it can be a pain in Pokémon if you're looking for something to catch and you get no encounters for like 100 steps without a Repel) - Wasting a Cure spell and MP on a character that was low on HP and got killed before the spell could be used (resulting in a MISS over the character) - Pokémon: missing a one-hit KO by like 1 HP, getting the Max Potion or Full Restore, then getting the kill the second time... also "Oh no! The Pokémon broke free!" trying to catch a legendary/Chatot/Beldum/shiny, then either having to reset or accidentally killing it or getting it on the 49th out of 50 Ultra/Dusk Balls (oh, how I wish Dusk Balls existed in Emerald...) - General: glitchy cameras in older 3D games, platforms that fail to respawn (had that happen to me in a Sonic 2 hack once, and I had to drown myself in order to restart... as Super Sonic), dying twice or more due to the same enemy/trap/etc. "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

Posted by GreyMaria Chatot's catch rate is 30, the same as Dialga and Palkia... but I actually had better luck with Dialga than Chatot ;P "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

Posted by DanikaPosted by GreyMaria Mind you, Chatot is also a Morning/Day (iirc)-only encounter and only outdoors. I caught it with the very first Dusk Ball I threw just for shits and giggles. Dialga and Palkia? Fuckers BOTH chewed through my entire Ultra Ball stashes. MULTIPLE TIMES. |

The Water Temple from OoT. Yeah, thinking aren't you all? You know exactly why, this was a pain in the ass for everyone. Awakening your fiancee as a Sage from a very annoying, backtracking temple. Oh, not to mention all the times you had to switch BACK & FORTH between Iron boots and Kokiri Boots. |

Stupid ally AI. Secret of Mana is a major offender for me. I keep both AIs on the extreme Approach/Attack section of the grid, and it makes them zealously aggressive against not only enemies they can't reach, but also enemies that will KILL THEM INSTANTLY. It's damn near impossible to run through an area with even a single hostile, because both retards want to sodomize everything they see.
@Rydia: Why do you think they decided to make the iron boots an activated item in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess? They realized they fucked up. |

Great Bay Temple wasn't that confusing. :/
I can make it through it pretty easily, and get all fifteen faeries! |

Posted by Marzen64Uh... Song of Soaring says, "Hi." You can use it in a dungeon to get returned to the entrance. That's why the ocarina is disabled in boss fights, you could use it to escape to either the temple entrance (Soaring) or to Clock Town (Time). I think the same principle was applied to the Magic Mirror in Link to the Past. I know it could be used to warp to the entrance, but I dunno if it's disabled during bosses. Never tried it, because I'm not a wuss! |

Posted by Marzen64 I love Ruto too, favorite part in the game is after you awaken her as the sage, and she talks about her eternal love for you, since she is your fiancee. (When she gave you the Sapphire as a child) And yes, that Owl was annoying. Everytime I heard that theme, I was thinking "shut up" Spirit temple from what I've seen so far, it isn't that annoying however getting trapped in the room with Anubis and the Beamos, and no knowing how to kill a Beamos makes you trapped. Unless you use bombs, it's straight forward. I have a feeling Twinrova is going to be annoying too. |

Missing platforms by mere inches. That is one thing that annoys me, every time it happens.
Posted by Rydia Try it in Master Quest. You'll literally roll over and die. It's that painful. |

Posted by Liliana Twinrova was quite easy, and the reason why it was an easy battle is because of the Biggoron's Sword. What a wicked trading sequence that was totally worth it. I got Epona specifically for that. I'll try it later on. |

Tacked on gameplay that is blatantly obvious it was added last minute and hardly tested.
And "OHHHH, just because this game has it means we need to have it too." I like games that try to throw in something that tries to be itself rather than a clone of something else. Unless there's something else going for it of course. |

It gets better. Games that have obvious bugs, where you're actually wondering if the game had something called a, uh, beta test.
Sadly, that occurs too often in modern times. |
