I'm going to back up the Razer being questionable thing. I generally wouldn't recommend them for anything as they're pretty shady.
Just doing a little bit of a search, I could suggest the Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC. It packs either a Ryzen 5 1600 or Ryzen 7 1700 CPU - So there's no worries that any cpu performance will be hit by exploit patches like meltdown, spectre or zombieload like Intel CPUs have. The integrated GPU is a Radeon RX 580, which is pretty decent. Google informs me it can be found for £999 (€1114). So it leaves spare capacity into your budget too. A slightly more expensive option would be the ASUS TUF FX705. There's a few variations, the ideal one is the AMD Ryzen 3750H & Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti model. I found this one priced at £1199 (€1337). The world could always use more heroes! |

From what I gather, opinions are all mixed on them. Some love them - a co-worker uses hers for contactless payments, but hates when she forgets to charge it as it becomes an expensive bracelet.
Me, I'm just happy with a dumb-watch that tells me the time and doesn't need nightly charging. And yeah, connection sync with a phone will be a drain as bluetooth is one of the biggest battery killers for a phone. The world could always use more heroes! |
