I still miss Windows 7.
I'm using Windows 10, but that's because I need to use it for hardware requirements. The world could always use more heroes! |

Posted by MolineOh, I could run Windows 7.. but a bunch of hardware features turn off, like Variable Refresh Rate. G-Sync compatibility is only in Nvidia drivers for Windows 10. (maybe 8, but who would use 8?) Also, having to use hacks to disable Windows' "unsupported hardware" nags just because I have a 2700X CPU is lame.. though, I did use it for a while. The world could always use more heroes! |

I hang in just two channels on IRC. One is #kafuka, the other is a small hang-out channel for a tiny number of people.
The loss of IRC would more hurt the latter than the former for me. The world could always use more heroes! |

I'm not sure exactly what happened there. I'm thinking the ' in the url is confusing one of the board systems. Fixed it by encoding the ' in the url.
Though.. to be fair, it's not a good practice to put a ' in a file name for web use anyway.  The world could always use more heroes! |

I still lurk around these days. Mostly moved towards some Discord communities these days.
But as to finding a place, I honest would say finding the right place can be down to luck. Communities change, and people move to new places. It's a cycle of sorts. But don't be dejected if you don't find a place immediately. It can take years to find the right place, and from my experience - the place you expect the least. The world could always use more heroes! |

The introductions forum, iirc, is not visible once you are moved to the Normal Users group.
The purpose of that forum is to gatekeeping to keep bots or undesirables out. The world could always use more heroes! |
