Well, I rounded out Link to the Past this morning, since I had been taking my time playing it this time around.
Checking my stats at the end, I could see where I made my loads from the RAM save since the original SNES version counted file loads as deaths for some reason. It ranked me at a two-death run for loading in Hyrule Castle and East Palace, when in actuality, it was actually a load at my house (pre-leaving to save Zelda) and the Sanctuary (After saving Zelda), but it counted them as those two dungeons because that's where I was headed when those file loads happened. I'm glad the virtual console does a one-shot save state if you leave the game from the Home menu back to the Wii menu, because I would have had to have a third load at Misery Mire when I picked up. As for the run itself, it was another otherwise perfect run. I only used two faeries from bottles. One against Blind in Thieves' Town, and one in Turtle Rock during the dark Somaria platform ride. I also forgot which exit I had to use to port back to Light World to get the final heart piece, so after I beat Trinexx, I had to re-enter Turtle Rock to finish the twentieth heart container. I also decided to return to Kirby: Crystal Shards. I made it up to 3-3 today. I only made it that far since I started getting frustrated by needing specific ability combos to break walls and shit... In order to get the third shard on 3-3, I appear to need either Cutter+Fire or Cutter+Rock, it's hard to tell whether the dark part was red or brown with the water effect discoloring it. I'm going to assume it wants Cutter+Fire, because Cutter+Rock gives the classic Stone ability, which won't work to break a wall. I dunno, I'll experiment next sitting. |

"Well...." Caionna begins, in response to Natalie, "I don't want to go in to try to reclaim the realm, I just want to go on a rescue mission. I'm worried for them."
Turning to Anya, she says, "I don't think leaving immediately would be a good idea. I feel we should take some time to make preparations and ensure that we can handle whatever is thrown at us." |

Hoo-motherfucking-ray.
Here I am at work, working beyond my scheduled shift because my boss fucked up the schedule again. I was scheduled midnight to seven, and my relief wasn't scheduled to start until eight. This makes three weeks in a row that I am getting more hours than scheduled at either the request of my bosses or their error. I swear to whatever eldrich abomination is the deity of this world, fuck, even the goddamn spaghetti monster, even... If this overtime gets reflected on me negatively, heads are going to roll. |

If I ask you a question, does that mean I get chocolate bacon?
EDIT: Hang on... Is this chocolate covered bacon, or is it chocolate that happens to be shaped like bacon? |

I didn't like Crystal Pepsi or Tropical Sprite... Probably because I don't particularly care for the plain flavor variety. Hell, I'll only drink Pepsi (and Coke, by extension) with cherry flavoring.
The one soda/pop/whatever-the-fuck-you-call-it-where-you're-from I like in most of its flavored varieties is Mountain Dew, although, ironically, I don't like the cherry flavor of Code Red. My favorite offshoot flavors are Supernova (strawberry), White Out (smooth citrus), and Baja Blast (Taco Bell exclusive lime). |

Posted by TrapsterI'm talking about shit like getting bitched at for overtime or a cut to my hours. I don't mind getting extra time because it means more money in my pocket, but if my boss starts getting mad at me for getting so much extra time, I'm gonna tell him it's their fault, not mine.Posted by Trelior |

Playing Maverick Hunter X in Vile mode on normal difficulty since Vile is such a pain in the ass to control. I've tried on Hard, and I can't even beat the deliberate warmup boss (Chill Penguin).
On Normal; I've beaten Flame Mammoth, Chill Penguin, Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, Launch Octopus, and Boomerang Kuwanger. I think it's interesting how whenever you beat one of the Maverick bosses, you don't just get one weapon that's available a la every other Mega Man game (or as X in the same game), but instead you get between two and six upgrades to your weaponry. Your weapons are: Arm (in three variations; Vulcan gun, missile launcher, or rocket fist), shoulder cannon (either blast cannon or blade), and leg blaster (comes in napalm, energy, or a flamethrower variant). You can only have one of each weapon type equipped at a time, and they are chosen from the stage select screen before beginning each mission. Each weapon pools from a point reserve that grows as you clear stages. The boss order seems to follow the same order as it does during gameplay as X, complete with the shift to Flame Mammoth as the recommended starting point. It's usually a good idea to equip yourself with the next boss's weakness, even if the weapon is seemingly worthless on the stage. An example of this is the flamethrowers you get for beating Mammoth. They're almost worthless on the stage, but holy shit do they fuck Chill's Christmas. I will say one thing... the fact that Vile doesn't get a dash ability is a major downer, not to mention a bit misleading since that fucker clearly has a dash during his boss encounter. Hopefully, it's one of my leg upgrades I haven't looked at yet, although it's a bit late since I'm nearing the end of the fucking game! |

Part of me wishes I could implement a word filter that changes every instance of "heavy rain" in this thread into:
Why? I dunno. I think it'd be hilarious, though. |

My Youtube channel is in my profile, but here is a link for reference.
I don't even know why I still have anything on it... A lot of the videos are shitty due to having the worst software and equipment to record with. Anything before the start of Final Fantasy is embarrassing. |

Seeing Danika's post reminds me of James Rolfe's You Know What's Bullshit? segment on Cinemassacre... I think that was the point, though.
Speaking of James: He and Mike Matei are catching a huge backlash from showing support for the Cheetahmen II scam. I had a bunch of videos ripping them new asses in my recommended box and I watched a few of them. Apparently, they "didn't know" that the whole thing was a fraud... Before disabling comments and ratings on their ad video, Mike was going on and on about how he had nothing to do with it and how he was so adamantly against it when he found out, because they supposedly backed the 'project' without doing any research and didn't question why they needed sixty five grand to release something that they seemed to already known existed that was done voluntarily by a hacker. The whole schtick seems fishy to me, and I'm really beginning to question my support for James at this point. |

I pronounce Kafuka as "ka-foo-ka"
Emuz as "em-use" Gywall as "jeyewall" (like in Gyro and a brick wall) Acmlm is tricky... I never say it the same way twice in a row... It's hard to decide what random vowels to insert to make it pronounceable. |

Posted by KP9000There's no need for anyone to get paid for this. A working Cheetahmen II hack already exists and is floating around. As for the whole "on an NES cart" part, there's a website out there that flashes ROMs to NES carts for $25 a piece.Posted by TreliorI think a couple people should just go for a flat fee of like $200 to do the same fucking thing. T'would be a great victory for the internet. JewWario (TGWTG/Blistered Thumbs member) talks about them all the time in his You Can Play This segment, I think they're called NES Reproductions. They can do anything from making extra copies of an original game to making a physical copy of a hack. At $25 a pop, it makes it nice for a lot of valuable rare games. |

I like my food to be either sweet or spicy. I'm trying to find something that's a good balance between the two without tasting bland since they're essentially two unique extremes.
As for my steaks and such, I prefer medium-rare. That way, it's cooked, yet still tender, but not bleeding everywhere. |

Sure thing, but now they're literal. Thousands of people are now dying due to constant train derailment. Way to go, jerk.
I wish I could get motivated to do stuff. |

Don't you think you have pretty stiff competition with Kafuka's CitiHall: "Scattered before you there are three tomes.."? |

What is your opinion on Tim Minchin?
Here's an example: He does material on a few controversial issues, and while it's mostly satire, I agree with a lot of what he has to say. By the way, the beat poem in the video is Tim. The animation is by someone else. |

Posted by LilianaMy mind is blown at the amount of morons in the comments that can't figure out what the text says from the context of what's going on on screen. It's the Great Faerie of Magic in Clock Town teaching Link how to do the spin attack! What is so hard to understand about that? |
