I like it a bit colder but towards the middle in the temp spectrum. I overheat easily, and right now *I* am tired of the cold too. (It's hard for me to be cold and this winter did that)

As for the topic: It's the silly things/bad jokes that really bring a smile to ones face.

I think it's all about going to excess with both #hastags and 🌽. I don't mind hash tags used in the right place at the right time.. just not pointlessly, excessively, or (most importantly) IRL. IRL it makes you look like a schmuck.

As for 🍼(that's an emoji.. no idea if it'll show up for everyone), if it's not overused and the emoji reflect the topic at hand I'm fine with it. Just don't think you should be trying to communicate with a half dozen emoji as they are subjective in their interpretations.

I use it pretty much every time I post just to make sure everything is right. (or at least try to) I don't use it when it's a small message like this one.

Consolidation is the new success story. That's my big issue. The second issue is it's going to be hard to use the service if they have to comply with a Content-ID style system. What if Nintendo doesn't want you to live stream DKC2? So that could be bad. (Now that doesn't mean it will happen like that, but one must look at all outcomes.)

Do we have new alternatives for Twitch out there?

Even though I've never streamed anying in Twitch I will be watching to see how it turns out.

Inventive threads take effort and nurture. Well it's a side effect of a lot of the boards who don't center themselves around a core purpose. More inventive threads indeed.

Well joking aside the only thing I would consider is to spin it off to it's own forum just to see how little is left in CDII:The quickening! However that is very unlikely..

Look on a bright side! We've all grown to be close friends and that's better than a big forum any day.

I can see eating a lot of good fruit in one sitting. It's not the worst thing to eat at all!

I will say at this point in time the weather is colder than it should be at this time. I don't mind that as I like it a bit cooler that most. However it's starting to warm up a bit more lately. (going back a few posts of course)

On irc it's #kafuka "Kafuka Channel/Kafuka Channel" or just "Kafuka". There are &channels as well.

That's strong wording. More like we have a minecraft server, just like we have an IRC server and a 1920's era subway tile bathroom with clawfoot tub~

Why is it so hard it uninstall software? They only care about you getting it installed first of all. Mostly it's difficult to clean up a program since a lot of things the user can control etc.

Also if it's shitware they won't want you to uninstall it at all Fucking toolbars. At work I probably uninstalled the same 5 shitty toolbars 50 times every year..

Kawa does make a good point. We could use less 'ask' and more 'do' style threads. There is a lot going on we could be having discussions about Mk8 like we are right now on IRC.. Apple just bought some headphones, and Microsoft is making their third attempt at a tablet. Just to name a few topics. Heck KP just put together a MC all on his own. It would be cool if we could do more of that kind of stuff.

Well remember, hashtags are based on an unofficial method that was developed by the users, not Twitter. People wanted a way to search for something without having every word and just 'tag' something. So it was choose out of convince.

On the subject of the ask and status threads, why not create a new sub-section similar to the "big threads" back at Acmlm's. It was called something like that, can't remember for sure. That way it cleans up the CD and all the ask and status threads are in their own little corner that other users can choose to ignore or not.

I have toyed with the idea of just making an AMA section and moving everything there. That too would clean up CD and allow people to easily ignore the trend if they want.

The issue is often when people 'talk' to me about it they always site how we could have a few more serious, discussion creating, and news items. (Well many other things but that's the common thing I get) What would be cool is to more projects and initiative. I'm proud of KP for working hard to start a MC server and making it a part of Kafuka. Stuff like that goes a long way. I usually try to do a lot of those kind of things but my current schedule just doesn't let me do that.

One question I always ask when I think about participating on a forum is "Is the news stopping at me?" which, for some, seems to be a dead-end. I think if the active posters here can take a mentality of "passing things on", we'd have more threads about happenings in the political, gaming, or even wacky things going on in our world, nationally or local. The ask threads aren't a problem; the problem is, that's all we seem to have right now. If we have users engaging elsewhere on things that are right in front of them, I think Kafuka will get much brighter.

That's a good suggestion. the "passing on" method has been brought up before.
There isn't anything wrong with the ask threads at all. It's something that more than a few members of the site came to me and said that they think it could use a tweak. Seems in our discussions here splitting it off to it's own forum seems to be the most popular solution so far.

I mean it sure would help in each offshoot thread to make it easier to know who's asking etc.. however for the most part the discussion is more on a slightly wider scale of threads as a whole. Still thanks for the suggestion
