Well, I finally caught the mouse that has been bothering me for the past couple weeks.
I heard the trap snap shut, then watched her as she flopped in her death throes. I'm glad she's gone, but it saddened me to watch her die. |

Been playing Etrian Odyssey a bit lately.
Since it's a dungeon crawler like Wizardry, I'm kinda used to it. Since things are a bit different than Wizardry was, I had to find a different way to exploit the game for money. In Wizardry, your recruits are generated with money that you can take, then delete them... In Etrian Odyssey, your guild has a pool that is generated by shit you sell and quests you complete. So what did I do? I rolled five Alchemists and threw all of their skill points into the Chop skill, then used the Chop point near the B1F entrance to farm items. I usually get 25-28 of my thirty uses to give me items that I can turn into about 300-400en. Considering how resting in the inn only costs 8en for a party of level 1s, I'm making a killing! As for my team, I'm level 9 on B2F. I have a Protector, a Landsknecht, a Dark Hunter, a Medic, and an Alchemist. I think I have a fairly good dynamic going. Not the greatest, but it gets the job done. The F.O.E.s on B2F like ripping my team a new ass, but that's probably because I need to figure out their weaknesses. The one seems vulnerable to fire, but I can't figure out the other one... I think it's weak to lightning. Dunno. |

More Etrian Odyssey for me. I'm down to B4F now, grinding on the wolves before going after Fenrir on B5F.
My team is level 13 now, and I'm starting to get my shit in gear with my skills. I was wondering why I couldn't unlock certain skills, so I hit the wiki. With the skill charts' help, I managed to open up Salve for my Medic, Cure for my Paladin, and a bunch of other highly useful skills for everyone else. I'm gonna hold off on fighting Fenrir until I can comfortably take out the Stalkers on B3F. Those fuckers are MEAN! UPDATE EDIT: I wound up playing all night. I'm officially ready to take on Fenrir! I did excessive power grind to level 20. I'm able to easily dispatch all four Stalkers on B3F without needing to run and heal at the Hexer in the south! Even the double-up battle in the northwestern room is a laugh. My Paladin does a Front Guard, my Warrior uses Crush, my Hunter uses Viper, Medic stands by in case of heals, and my Alchemist burns the fuckers where they stand. Battles don't last more than four turns. I'm confident about Fenrir, but I still have my doubts. I can already take him down, but his underlings that join in on the fight make the fight hard. I almost won at level 18, but got overwhelmed. I should be more than prepped now. I feel like I'm talking in circles because I'm tired and don't want to actually proofread anything. Fuck it. |

Posted by TrapsterYou realize that some cards don't have a passthough and splitting the signal is, therefore, necessary. Right? |

I'm still trying to get my hands on an HDTV to start using my PVR. Once I do, I'll be able to make videos in the same quality as the one you posted, KP. |

I'm kinda broke right now. I won't have the money until several paychecks down the line (like June-ish). All I'm really looking for is a nice flat-panel that does 720p at the very least, since that's what I can get out of the device.
My local Walmart has a 27" for just shy of $200 after tax. I might pick that one up. |

That's not too bad of a price. How bad is the crack?
Also, since it would take me a while to make sure I have enough money banked, would you be comfortable with keeping a hold of it for a while? |

KP, I sent a PM.
Getting back on topic: Here's one of the first non-test videos done with my Hauppauge. It was recorded using my Wii's composite cable and a splitter since it lacks passthrough for composite. I think it turned out fairly alright. Just as a note: The high pitched whine is not my fault. Jay's commentary is recorded at a poor bitrate. |

Finally cashed my first paycheck today.
It's amazing. I pretty much spent it all today, too. It was roughly $300. I paid my mom back for paying for my dentist appointment, re-upped my phone service, sent the money I owed the state, put some money in my savings account, got lunch, and bought a few things on PSN (Worms: Armageddon GOTY, Might & Magic: Clash of the Heroes, the M&M: CotH character pack, and renewed my Playstation Plus membership). I have $15 left over. Gotta make it stretch until the 19th. :X |

I started playing Worms 2: Armageddon on PS3 this afternoon... Long story, short: I feel lied to, it is not Worms: Armageddon.
Short story, long: I have Worms: Reloaded on Steam. I booted W2:A up, thought it looked a lot like Worms: Reloaded, thought it sounded like Worms: Reloaded, the title screen looked like Reloaded with a graphic edit to say Armageddon... Gameplay of the campaign revealed that, lo and behold, it fucking IS Worms: Reloaded. Thanks, Team17, for fooling me into thinking this was your -vastly superior- previous title. I'm just glad it wasn't a reskin of the horrid Worms: Revolution that came out last year. You couldn't pay me enough money to even get me to accept a copy of that shit heap of a game. In other gaming news: I was in a call with a buddy who's new to Binding of Isaac, so I coached him in the effects of items, good synergies, and battle strategies. As a result, I did several runs, myself to get into the mindset of the game. I wound up doing a successful Chest run with Cain and Samson. I almost made it as Blue Baby, but a rematch with Death in my third room of the Cathedral proved too much for Isaac's dead self. It was funny since one of my two trinkets was Blue Baby's Soul, the other was (of course) the Polaroid. |

I got my hands on the fancy-shmancy box set for Etrian Odyssey IV today since I had the $40, and the store only had two copies left.
From what Dan, the store owner, was saying: This edition of the game is becoming a bit of a coveted commodity around here. I may leave it in the cellophane until I'm ready to play it to see if it retains or builds value. This is gonna drive me nuts, because I want to listen to the CD and look at the art book! D: I'm gonna have to hide this from myself for the time being. |

This is the end of my run that I recorded, post editing. This video took me six hours to edit. Pretty damn good if you ask me! As of posting this, the whole video is at 8% processing. I'll be chunking the video by chapter so that it's a bit easier for the more casual viewers to watch, but I'll still be uploading the whole thing for the more ambitious. |

I would not have realized that had you not mentioned it. >>32443 is the culprit, by the way. |

Yup, I'm doing this now... I know everyone and their grandma is doing videos of Binding of Isaac, but I couldn't resist taking this on. Co-commentary with BrianD0313, aka Zerro. |
