I have no qualms either way. Kinda busy but I'll do it if people are up for it though!

Look like Squidring/Splatnet is now in english we'll get a lot more people using it. Since I posted my 'top inked' on twitter, might as well here too. Trends are trendy! (Feel free to post yours!)

They contacted me again about it. No two dollars though. Lol. Persistence I guess.

Trelior I think I will take you up on that when we do it. I don't have the stuff to do any Let's plays. (I was thinking about it if I get good enough at Splatoon, but I am not even close).

So I guess we need one or two more. Maybe next week I put a tweet out. I have no idea if that will help much. Also please pass this post along to anyone who plays. More we have the more dynamic the battles will be.

This weekend is out for me. I have Splatfest x2 on Saturday, and Sunday I have a meeting + other IRL things to do.

Another Splatfest, another post to this very thread! I kinda took a lazy way of playing, but did really well (once I woke up. I started at 5am today.) Just used the Splattershot Pro and Forge Pro this round. I wanted to work on my over all skills and timing with no ink recovery perks. (Well I started with different than usual gear without any, but I did eventually switch from the Pilot Goggles to my Avatars which as one sub ink saver main.)

I got to "Queen" level pretty quickly. When I was sucking I had a good team to back me up. When my team wasn't so great I did in kind. Had a lot of fun.
(Hmm.. you can crash a car too you know?)


My final load out used. The first time I actually had a few teams who knew what 'painting the target' means. The Forge comes with Point Sensor sub wepaons. Basically a bomb that marks anyone who gets hit show on the game's HUD for 10 seconds or so. In most of the games if I marked someone and I died or they escaped my range someone swooped in and got him.

Overall it felt like it took even less time to get to max level than before. Team planes should win the popularity as we fought other team planes over 10 times at least. The hardest fights were with other team planes for sure. (I even ran into one of Bouche's cohorts while playing.)

Anyone else play? I know there was no EU Splatfest..

Another close one. Just remember your perceptions on how your team is doing isn't the whole picture. We kicked butt with the teams I had on the team plane side, with maybe a scad few losses. I also played at 4am ET. Only the late night west costers and hardcore are usually who I run into (and for the most part I always play early in the morning due to life commitments. )

I just think it's humorous how people get bet out of shape over these win/losses. I could care less which side wins as long as the ride is fun. I just saw someone say "Callie must die for winning" in a miiverse post. I think someone needs to relax a bit.

On to the important one...



Welp. Team Tako didn't win so no overwhelming Octoling statement can me made here. (lol j/k) The results are nearly identical to the NA one, but look what 1%~2% can do to change the outcome. Shows how close both really were this time.

While I don't know if anyone will find it useful I have created a Discord server for everyone to use. It's basically unsetup right now, but if we ever do anything that requires voice chat we have something on stand by. I got setup with Discord due to Splatoon. A lot of the big boards and /r/splatoon use it. It seems like one of the better voice & text systems. I haven't had much experience yet with it myself, but I have found it useful none the less.

NOTE: Due to the ever changing nature of the link this one may be out of date. Always check the link on the "Notings of Attention" first if you run into an issue with the link in this thread. I mean we have some many a lot feel unloved and just play old leave through the back door. We need to slow down man. Think of the sad posts!

What's nice is the text chat is like a hybrid IM and Forum. The stuff sticks around so if you miss something you're not totally lost.

Edit: I haven't been on the Discord server since I made it. That'll change. I've not been on my computer at home much. I'm going to install and setup the native clients the first chance I get.

I'm up for setting a date. My Saturday is taken with Splatoon stuff. So we could try for Sunday. Next Saturday I have events until the evening. So we have two weeks to choose a time? I have to do weekends or weekday evenings (US ET).

So let's see if we can nail it down.

Also We can use that Discord server if we need to fine tune coordination. The chat acts like a mix of forum and IRC. So you can come in later and respond, while still having instant interactions with the people that are on.

It seems to have done it's job. it's minor but it does seem to improve gameplay overall. We should play sometime soon Epele!

Now if you know me well enough I can't not go with the team that's green. So I guess that made my choice easy..

Also I've joined a squad it seems. The name of the squad is 'Oldies' (If you see anyone with the tag ol'*NAME* ie: ol'Emuz that be them.) Should be interesting. Means having more people to play cooperatively with and I'm looking forward to that.

Everyone I do suggest you give it a try. You don't have to make a perm account or anything to try it out. I've found it easier for people to get a hold of me as it works great with the mobile phone, and the in-line images makes chats a bit more interesting. Voice is not required at all for those shy types.

(Note: this isn't a replacement for IRC or the board, it's something as I'm using it I think others could find fun to play with.)

I hate this. There's no progress happening. I'm stagnating. Well it's because there aren't much new people to meet around the places where I go.


What else could I do? Find things to do. I always have the feeling that anything I will try will end up being a waste of time and money. Even moreso as getting to any interesting place from where I live is a pain. And after all the univ bullshit, I just want to get back home.


Or talk to random strangers? Kind of a waste of time too. Maybe an interesting conversation can happen. But if I don't meet people on a regular basis, they just forget about me.

One thing I think would help depending of if you are doing this or not. Worry less about the end results, and try to enjoy the moment itself. Since it takes a lot of time and trial and error sometimes when you are trying to branch out it can be disheartening. It's not wasy, but it works. Just slow and steady! Some people are more social than others. It's normal. I've grown a lot in that category. I used to talk to no one.

What's wrong with being a nerd? Have you tried looking for a group/board/site/whatever that is dedicated for programmers living in France? I would imagine there would be something. Having it be within your country allows you a greater chance of having a face to face meeting or something.

Unless I am wrong, but I think you'll be able to play people with the content, just not use it yourself. So it'll be fine.
