Honestly, I don't like the idea of "rebranding" Kafuka at all. It's unnecessary, and honestly disruptive to the good vibe we have here. Heck, I'm barely on board with the idea of designing one as a community too. I'm a little wary of it turning into a massive cluster-eff.

Honest question Emuz: Why not use Noriko? Her aesthetic fits the vibe perfectly, she's already realized, and I sincerely don't see any mascot design being significantly better.

Noriko is my personal mascot. I would imagine if she was the mascot for Kafuka than it was just me be and no one else. Doesn't seem all that fair!

I'm going to warn everyone now. I'm going to be very prudish with how she looks. You'll need to loose that tacky sexy 'Gainax rabbit' cocktail dress thing and come up with some different less obviously meant-to-be-sexy clothing. She'll need to be somewhat conservative if we're going to use them. We'll need something either more causal.. or maybe even more dressy that has a sutble hint of sexy if you wish to go that route.

When it comes to branding i'm a prude and I just so happen to hold the card(s). bwahahahah ahahahaahah haahahahah (actually part of it is I want you be more creative with the clothing.. I'd like to see something cute, cool, and all of the above while being around say PG or PG-13.)

Alright... so I'm glad I started this process as it means this could be a fun event for the whole board!

So for this next phase I think I like the idea of a Cat girl in a bunny hood/hairband/etc type appearance. I think that fits. So let's just run with that core concept to save us some time.

I'm thinking we need to hit 3 key themes:

-She should fit the Dark/Fairy Appereance
I'm thinking since have 2 sets of ears we could make where humans ears would be horns? or maybe scales? Also we could give her long finger/toe claws or something? Think outside of the box on this one.
To fit the fairy appearance I'm kinda sold on fluffly little wings! However as long as you do something that accomlished a 'fairy theme' element we'll be fine!

-She should have hair that is colored like fire. Reds and Yellows.. Since Kafuka is all about fire themes in it's first stage of it's life. I leave the rest to you!

-The clothing shouldn't be overly sexy. If you want a 'sexy' apperence it should be subtle and etc. I am not fond of 'sexy' branding as it looks soo tacky. The clothing should be 100% unique and fit her. I'm thinking for the dark theme we could go with formal attire too if you like. She should at least have a full top and a skirt that goes above the knee (shorts can be shorter than this.. but only just).. She can have shoes or not.. they can be fancy dress shoes, or just some hi tops. I leave that all up to you!

I'm thinking maybe she should also have Phanto theme of some kind. Maybe taking my broken phanto mask up herself.. or maybe as jewelry!

Other than her hair.. all the other color choices are yours!

I have to state this: I reserve final judgement on this. I'll be the one to decide if we adopt it officially or not. Also any changes I may request near at the final stanges will be non-negotiable (but I doubt I'll need to exercise this clause. I am putting it here just in case)

I want you guys to work hard on this.. and come up with at least 2 competing designs.. so we can vote. I also want to work together and suggest stuff to each other so it really is a community built mascot.

When the design is final I will take it to an artist of my choosing to have drawn all pretty. (I May take donations at that point too)

We can't use their version as it's ab1 specific. We'd either need to recode parts of the board to fit a mobile layout, or redo it so we use more modern CSS methods. Both take loads of time and massive amounts of efforts. So unfortunately unlikely at this time.

The item suggestion thread would be the idea. I just want to vet them before putting in is all. However not all would be chosen. There would be items 'close to another' or similar etc. Plus I'd like to keep too many over powerful items from being obtained.

We're probably closer with the bugs fixed and new features added in. Probably at a 2.5.4 at least.

There's still a lot of room for improvement. There's still more missing features at least.

2.6 would probably be when those missing features are there.

Yay! I'm number 4! Well it's easier to get ties with low post days. *shrug*

Haru is currently on vacation but we could go with them when they return. I don't have any matching Noriko styles other than the emotes. My Patreon gift image I'm not going to use for anything as it's a one off. Also there are a few other people I could ask but those are the two really big ones that have open commissions.

I'm still more fond of Sheep's style personally for this particular even due how her style would work for it's pure cuteness.

So that's one Haru (This layout has some of their art) and one for Sheeps.

Note: Also one or both could turn us down too. So keep that in mind

Like I said that one is a one off. They have more than one style. There are plenty of other artists but I'm trying to stick to two or three so we don't get into a big mess.

I'd like to diversify the artists but it's easier to work ones I speak to regularly. That leaves us with Haru, Sheeps, and The third artist is not to do at all/wait a while. Also if not enough people show interest it's not a board mascot and we'll move on too, but let's not hope that's the case

Right now not many seem that interesting other than you Epele.. and maybe Nicole some. Let's see if others come around.

So what kind of taco sauce would you use? I'd recommend a nice habanero salsa. It's nice and spicy!
