Posted by GoogieThat's why it didn't show anything. You didn't give it anything to pull the visuals from. I change what source type I'm using depending on what has better performance at the time. |

Perhaps this isn't the best example since it's one of my more complex canvases, but it was easiest to draw the lines with that I could show game footage without changing a bunch of stuff around. The colored lines were also easier to do than corresponding numbers and such. The window regions are one large window, selected as a source twice, cropped and resized to show the full 3DS area. Obviously, you would only need one for most games. The images and such are used to fill the black space and keep things visually interesting. The chat is there because I like showing who/what I'm responding to in my commentary. Not necessary, but nice. I change its location based on the size and position of my footage. If my backdrop has changing colors and such, or (in the case of a full canvas footage field) I put a partially transparent black box behind it. If I wasn't pressed for time, I would go into more detail. I hope this helps. EDIT: This one is more simple, only five pieces to it: The emulator The backdrop My social media and such links The chat and the shadow behind the chat (a black square set to 50% opacity) |

I've been playing Final Fantasy XIV.
I'm not big into MMOs, but this one's pretty fun. |

As I've said to Emuz on Discord, I've kinda drifted away from here over the course of the past few months.
With Final Fantasy XIV claiming so much of my time recently, I can't guarantee how much I'll be around. |

Still plugging away at Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward.
I have my main job of Black Mage to 56 now. My other jobs/classes are all up to at least 15, with exception to the craft and gather classes. Notable classes above 15 are: Bard 34 (needed for Quelling Strikes cross class) Conjurer 27 (I want to do healing soon) Gladiator 19 (trying to learn tanking) |

I snapped this with Puush a few hours ago (thus the low fidelity of the screenshot). Just bought the body piece to hit i209 with my tomestones of Lore. The new gear for 3.2 is terrible. Although, I apparently have more Accuracy than is necessary for the NEXT set of Savage raids. Accuracy and Determination is what's shitting up my gear! I don't care about the accuracy since I've never missed a spell since level 20, EVEN WHEN BLINDED! And Determination give such a small boost to damage, I would sooner have a higher critical hit ratio and a faster cast time (2.39s for Fire is good, but I could do to be faster, honestly). |

Assuming this isn't a clever April Fools prank, I think I'll slot this in somewhere on my to-stream list.
Also assuming I'm ever able to start streaming again. EDIT: This is pretty damn good. Also, fuck 1-4 with a big, sharp, dildo-y implement. Those four deaths were all from the home stretch before the pipe. That last jump is a bitch. The koopa is too close to the coins to comfortably use it as a jump boost. |

Since I'm certain the life and coin counters are assigned with a two-byte address (00-FF), shouldn't you be able to remove the code routine that says "loop back to 00 at 64" then find a way to make it show a third digit? You may also want to add a third byte to the value assignment, which is not going to be an easy task, unless you're okay with the cap being 255.
As far as the actual code modification, I can't help you because I don't know the first thing about 6502 ASM. |

Posted by KPI still have a few projects to do before I'm through all of the things I have planned. But having gone from being scheduled too much at work (which is why I stopped streaming regularly) to needing to move back home due to not being scheduled ENOUGH at work, I'm sitting at my mom's on a connection that I can't do anything with. We're looking at a fairly lengthy amount of time. A few months at the least before I can start considering where it can go on my schedule. I'll try to keep you informed, that way if the next patch is brewing, I'll hold off on it. |

Posted by KPAs it stands now, I have seven or eight projects I know I want to do first (six of which I know the game I want to play). From there, it's in the air what I do.Posted by TreliorLet's just say that the food is in the pot, but the burner is intermittent. I have no idea how long it's going to take to cook. If I have any idea when it'll be done, I'll post in here. Like I said, there's a few months easily before I get into uncharted territory. |

I played it again until I maxed the death counter at 99. Made it to the world 7 airship.
Question: On 6-Fort1, how are you expected to get onto the moving platform if you don't bring in outside powerup? I had to break my additional challenge of "No P-wings" to soak the hit and actually do the level. Also it feels like you tweaked the rate of getting level three powerups to 11. I had at least six Tanookis and about eight hammer bros when I called it quits. |

This should come as a surprise to no one, but Final Fantasy XIV still.
I've been putting in a lot of effort the past few months. and here is a peek at my class levels. Yellow is a maxed out level, blue names are specializations. I started hitting my crafting hard when I moved back home. I started in April at Culinarian 50, the rest at 15! I have two alts at 30 in all crafts (can get to 45 easily, levequest allowances permitting). My gathering classes were: Miner 30 Botanist 50 Fisher 25 I've been pretty busy. |

Looking at the thread's title syked me out, thinking this was an editor for the (bizarrely ordered) New Super Mario Bros series entry on 3DS (named 2, but is actually the third in the series. Seriously Nintendo, dafuq is your problem?) |

Posted by flashy2k That's most likely because HDMI capture bridges aren't as prohibitively expensive as one for 3DS. I have a new model 3DS XL with a capture bridge. It cost me $600 and took six months to leave Japan because I had to threaten them to deliver or I would demand my money back. That said: Don't buy anything from Katukity. They're awful. Their service is terrible, their time table is fucked, and they're rude. They think that because they have a monopoly on the capture bridges that they can treat their customers with absolute contempt.
I dunno, the controls felt a little janky to me. The control scheme doesn't feel right for a handheld title. Kinda like Kirby: Triple Deluxe using B/Y to attack and A/X to jump. THAT IS NOT COMFORTABLE! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NICE CONTROL SCHEME YOU USED IN SUPER STAR? I dunno about you, but my thumb rests comfortably for play on B and Y.
It was highly exploitable for "High level" play, which was essentially "Whoever exploits the movement and attacking glitches the best wins" Comparing a the SD graphics of a fifteen year old console to HD and comparable-to-HD graphics of modern platforms I feel is somewhat of an unfair assessment. For its time, it did look phenomenal. |

I dunno why, but I find myself using Link a lot.
Back in the day, all I would do was spam his up-B spin attack because that shit was OP. In the rare occasion nowadays that I play, I vary my moves to be less predictable (within means of Link's limitations). I concede that he isn't an amazing character, but in the right hands, he can work wonders. As for my favorite in the series, I don't have one. Sure, I've played all five, but I haven't played them enough for one to stick out as a favorite for me. As for the "competitive" scene and their raging boner for Melee, I don't get it. The game was buggy and exploitable to the point that if you didn't know how to exploit the mechanics, you COULDN'T WIN. Let's not forget the infamous Play as Master/Crazy Hand glitch on the character select screen. |

Given the retarded hype of "HURR THIS IS HOW THE GAME WILL PLAY" speculation from the people who have no idea how augmented reality games work, and the cursory reviews I'm seeing from my friends on Facebook.
I am not playing it, nor do I plan to. I have Showdown and XY/ORAS to tide me over until Sun and Moon drop in November if I really need a Pokemon fix. Assuming I'm even going to have money to buy them, given my prolonged unemployment. |

Posted by SchezoFunny you should mention that. The first day or so of the game's release was for Android-only, the iOS version got released later. The first day, there were already fake news reports of people getting mugged for their iPhone. |

Just spent three hours trying to get though Palace of the Dead (Deep Dungeon) on FFXIV as my Arcanist. I decided to go as the DoT happy bookish nerd clss instead of Black Mage because I wanted to learn how to manage the class, how better to do it than do a dungeon that's recommended for parties of four by myself?
Palace of the Dead is a neat dungeon because when you start it, you get unleveled (not synced) to level 1 and you get to raise from that fresh start to 60. It's a really god way to learn a new class since you grow faster (albeit separately from when you're on the surface) and you get all of your skills at the same level you would in the main game, without the restriction of needing to do the class quests. For reference, to gain level 2 on the surface in Eorzea, it takes 300 exp. In Deep Dungeon, it takes 15. It's balanced that mobs give flat exp based on their level (i.e the Fire Sprites are level 1 and give 9 exp, the Palace Deathmice are level 2 and give 13). I don't think I could have survived the dungeon alone if I was any other class than Arcanist. Reason being that you have a pet you can summon starting at level 4. Emerald Carbuncle is a DPS aid, and really doesn't help much beyond pinging some more damage out. Instead, the MVP is Topaz Carbuncle, which you learn at 15. He's your tank pet (until you become a Summoner and get Titan-Egi), and he can soak hits for days. The level 16 mob is Palace Hornet, and it's the same as the Temple Bees is Sunken Temple of Qarn and Devine Vespas in Neverreap, in that you hit them enough times and they enrage and kamikaze on your ass with an attack called Final Stinger that hits you like a train made out of trucks and killing the bee. If it hits your squishy ass, you're dead full stop. However, if Carby is at or near full HP, he can survive it and keep on trucking to the next mob in line. I succeeded because of my pet. TL;DR Topaz Carbuncle is a fucking badass. |
