The malboro begins a guttural grumble as it closes its gaping maw.
"Oh shit!" Zarik calls out, "Whatever you're planning Bel, make it good!" He then lets out a whistle that signals to Bettergreg to clear out. The chocobo and master back off and put some distance between themselves, and the imminent belch from hell or the hellfire. Bracing for the inevitable, he braces and a circle of illusionary shields surround him as he says, "Rhalgr, give me strength!" Zissou takes note of Zarik's call for hallowed ground and he backs off as well, doing his best to protect his faerie helper from any backlash. Eos turns her attention to Zarik and calls upon the power of the fey covenant to help him dampen the blow he may or may not be subject to momentarily. |

The malboro begins to belch out its bad breath spew as the fireball hits it. The spell explodes on contact with its target, the force thereof shoves Zarik and his chocobo a few feet, making them fall over due to lack of footing purchase in the soft mud of the pond.
After the smoke clears, the malboro is still there, singed, and angry. It roars and starts slithering toward Bel.It doesn't get very far before an arrow flies from behind Bel and Moxley, sticking in the back of the monster's throat. From the direction the arrow came, the passing female bard calls out, "While that was impressive, mage, it wouldn't be wise to do that again." then points at the nearby malboros also moving toward the party, "It'd be best if you folks ran. It wouldn't be smart to try to fight the rest off." Clambering to his feet, Zarik calls out, "Thank you!" turning his attention to Bel and the others, he says, "We'd best follow her advice and try to get away. I hate one of these fuckers enough, I won't deal with..." Taking a quick count of the advancing drove, "Three more." Hastily hopping on Bettergreg, and running toward the group, he scoops up Zissou from the water and makes his way toward one of the buildings due north. |

Are you into card games at all?
Yes and no. What's your favorite? Easily Magic the Gathering. I haven't played in about three years, and actively collected in longer than that. When I do play, It's usually Modern format since Standard isn't much of an option. |

When you first heard about "sprites" in video games, did you tend to think of the drink?
I was a dumb kid, but I wasn't that dumb. |

The bard had taken off by the time Moxley had attempted to catch her name.
Rounding the corner of the building Zarik let's Zissou drop from under his arm as he dismounts and sends the chocobo back out for the wizard. Trying to wring some of the water from his sleeve, he says, "That wasn't exactly what I would have called graceful." "Agreed," replies Zissou, "However, we are fortunate that we received the intervention of that archer." "Not gonna lie," Zarik begins, "The plants seem unnaturally big for this time of year. I wonder what's up." |

"Typically," Zarik responds, "They're generally just as strong as everything else, but considered nastier because they're, y'know, fucking malboros."
Shaking his head, he reiterates, "Like I just said to Zissou, these guys seem a bit bigger than they usually are." "Now that you mention it," Zissou interjects, "There is a slightly higher level of earth and wind aether in this area." Sticking an arm out and sensing, Zarik shakes his head, "I dunno. Feels normal. You sure you're not picking up on the clusters in my bag?" Zissou shakes his head and points toward the arboretum, "The heightened aether I am feeling is coming from inside." Continuing to dry off, Zarik retorts, "Even if that's the case, that's not our job. We're out here to head south, and I'll be damned if I have to slow this trip down with another detour." With a grunt, he adds, "We're here to find Aren, and we have to go staff chasing to find him. Otherwise, I'd not even bother!" |

Is it bad that I did think of that?
Given how you acted when you first came along to us here at Kafuka, I can't say I would've been surprised. What is your all time favorite space movie? Spaceballs. I'm not the biggest fan of Star Wars, but Mel Brooks was a parodic genius. |

What's it like having superior taste?
Are you sure your statement is correct? I like some really stupid shit too. Ever seen Apollo 13 or The Right Stuff? Apollo 13, yes. |

Taking out the map, Zarik says, "It has been a while since I've been here, so let's look for a safer path south..." After a moment's perusal, he slaps his forehead and groans, "We could have just kept following the road if we didn't take the wrong turn a short way back."
Taking a sharp breath, he blows on the draft chocobo whistle and mounts the bird when it arrives. "Alright, this path will take a slight detour to the east, but it still heads mostly south, down under the cliff in the distance." Pointing due south at the raised overhanging cliff. "Unless the habitats of the monsters has changed since I was last here, it should be a safe trip." |

Backtracking a way and following the road southward, Zarik replies, "Any trip we come back alive from is a safe trip in my book." With some pause, he mentions, "Especially around here."
As they approach Aelxander from the northeast, the towering golem menacing the surrounding area with its sheer size as it stands waist deep in the river, under its temporal shielding. Zarik speaks up, "Aside from the malboros and the Illuminati, nothing is really particularly threatening. Except for the Hropkens by the bridge leading to the library itself." With a bit of a shrug, he adds, "Inside the library, though, I can't be so sure." |

First Carrie Fisher, now Debbie Reynolds?
It all started with David Bowie, I say. Why do I smell a conspiracy here? Maybe they had evidence that could convict Hillary Clinton. Is that still a relevant meme? |

"Yeah. A warm-up." Zarik says, shaking his head. "As for Alexander over there, we don't have anything to worry about. It's frozen in time under that bubble. He's not going anywhere."
OoC: I never said that the bird left, so it's safe to assume that he'll be there until dismissed. |

What song starts playing?
That is a really hard decision. Too many good themes fill my head space. Probably Metal, Revenge Twofold, Exponential Entropy, Rise, or Pokemon Sun Elites One of these is not like the others. ♫ Which is more cute, Wiccans or neo-hippies? I only have passing knowledge of Wicca and nothing about neo-hippy-ism. I can't give a fair answer. |

As the group rounds the road and comes up to a broken ramp that would have lead onto the cliff Zarik motioned to before, Zarik explans, "You know how owlbears are big, feathery fuckers that look like, well, bears with owl pats grafted to them?" moving his arms in an exaggerated manner, "Just imagine a fishbear or something fucked up like that. They're big, scaly, and they have glow-y bits on their bellies and faces."
"An odd, yet accurate summation." Zissou quips. "Yeah, yeah. You know I'm not the best at describing things." Zarik retorts, the tone of his voice dripping with eye-rolling sass. "Naturally. If it is not one of your gizmos, you'd sooner ignore its existence." The old man laughs. Pointing at the path off to the side of the ramp as they approach it, he mentions, "We will want to take the underpass here. Be mindful of the wetlands for they are home to Okeanis serpents." "Didn't think you knew the Hinterlands, Zissou." Zarik mentions. Chuckling, Zissou responds, "Naturally. It would have been remiss of me to not know of the land of the Sharlayan archons. I'll have you know that wrinkly old witch, Matoya, and I have worked together. As I am sure you know, much like your sister is a protege of mine, your friend Y'shtola is her underling." "Speaking of Matoya... Isn't her hovel nearby?" Zarik posits. "Aye. But as you have been harping, we lack the time to dally." Zissou snips back. By this point, the group will have come into the cavern-esque wetlands, crossing a few short broken plank bridges. The pools of water all around are now populated by bipedal frogs carrying wooden canes. In the distance, there is lush vegitation and moss growing on the walls. Looking up, there is a large opening in the shelf above which lets a significant amount of sunlight through, and the plant life is thriving in the fertile soil due to the bountiful light. |

Two of the guys from the free company I used to be in wanted to o roulettes with me today, so the three of us partied up and queued. It was me, my buddy Tohka, and Yumi.
We managed to get through the Expert roulette with very little salt or trolliness... Until the end, when I mentioned I got the rando tank's commendation. Then we moved onto the 60, and it was a salt factory of Yumi whining that Tohka and I were making her tanking hard since we both outgeared her by a significant margin. The comedy, in my opinion, came from the exchange we had between the first and second bosses. Then she said to calm down on the second boss and I joked "There are no breaks on the rape train" because our DPS was pushing 4000 for the whole team, and the boss was absolutely melting. The 50 was mostly uneventful, just walking the rando healer through the mechanics and giving each other a hard time because we're all assholes. The the Trials is where I started getting trolly. Tohka had switched to Paladin and said "I hope we don't get a Heavensward trial." We did, Ravana. The first of the two pre-60 trials, which is a pain in the ass to do since everyone lacks some of their best expansion skills. Right before we broke into the third phase (that has the really cool music change), Tohka gets knocked off and I tease him by saying in party chat "Bye Tohka" to giggles from the other mage and one of the ninjas. Then mechanics start happening and I goof a few, I stayed on my feet but ended up with four stacks of vulnerability, which is basically a death sentence. He brings up my nasty debuff and says "Lol rip Cai" (my main's name is Caionna Hoir, which shouldn't be surprising, given the RP forum), to which I say, "Bitch please" and finish the fight basically untouched. When the screen faded out on the win, I said "WHAT'S THAT? I SURVIVED!" Needless to say, he wasn't happy with my gloating. I didn't care, I had fun. |

Why do I love BBWs so much?
Quirky personal preference? It's a little confusing why you're asking me about yourself. |
