"I don't even remember passing out!" Zarik exclaims, "I know I was tired after that fight, but goddamn! How long was I out? Does anyone know?"
Zissou pats his bag to ensure that the hitherto unclaimed treasures are within, and says, "By my count, it was at least four hours due to my faerie growing bored and returning to the aether. Possibly longer, perhaps not." "We have no time to fuck around now! We have to find that staff and stop whatever it is that's making this place look like something out of a horror movie!" Zarik cries as he runs across the bridge toward the east, seemingly unaware that he is weaponless. |

The area reveals much of what it had done before. However, this time, there is a noticeable pulse of evil energy coming from due east.
The path to the east that Zarik had run toward leads to a staircase, this one made of stone rather than aetheric light. At the bottom of the stairs, it turns into an enclosed hallway that diverts to the north and south. The distinct smell of burning paper permeates the hallway and a trail of smoke is coming from the southern branch of the path. Zarik runs that direction, he is out of earshot of the others. "If I had to guess," Zissou posits, "It is either in the Rhapsodies Quadrangle downstairs or the School of Nihility upstairs that we are headed. It will depend on the direction we are led by the changing paths of the hallways." He then follows Zarik, the knight's weapons in hand. |

Zarik continues down the hall and rounds yet another corner, directly in the diretion of the smoke. Standing at the end of this hall is a large gargoyle in a sea of flames caused by a fallen chandelier. Surrounding the gargoyle is a few of the quills and ink wells as seen earlier.
"Hey ugly!" Zarik shouts as he reaching to his back to grab his shield. Noticing its absence, he quickly scans his immediate surroundings and finds a decently large chunk of rubble, which he lifts with some trepidation and hurls at the aforementioned ugly one. The impact of the rubble hitting the gargoyle angers it, making it begin lumbering toward the comparatively diminutive humanoid cat. Zissou tries his best to keep up with Moxley, which proves rather difficult given his small stature. Calling out, "It is naught more than the name given to the room of bookshelves. If memory serves; it is a rather large, mostly empty, room. As its name would suggest." |

Two trains depart from San Diego and New York at 3am EST. Assuming both trains are traveling consistently at 55 mph and do not stop, when do both trains meet, how many casualties come from the resulting explosion, and how much do the surviving crew spend on their medical bills?
Potatoes. That's my final answer, Regis. I'll take my million dollars now. |

Would you like your prize in 12 monthly installments, or one lump sum?
Monthly installments. It comes out better on the taxes that way. |

The gargoyle does as instructed and catches Moxley's shield. It doesn't even flinch at the sharpness of the edge. Its eyes flash as it flings it back toward Moxley.
The inkwells and quills hardly stand a chance against the fire and immolate quickly. "I'm guessing that's not what you wanted to happen." Zarik quips as he motions for his weapons. Turning to Bel, he questions, "What fighting space? This is a narrow-ass hallway." ignoring the rest of the elf's snark. Zissou hesitates for a moment, to which Zarik barks, "Toss them, shield first preferably. Quickly, this guy's not gonna be distracted for long!" The Lalafell tosses the shield to the best of his ability, which the Miqo'te barely grabs out of the air. The sword is then lobbed equally clumsily, blade first, to which Zarik swipes it in a way that launches it ceilingward, and skillfully grabs it by the hilt as it plummets back down. "Thanks!" the knight exclaims, then follows up with, "Oi! Faerie!" Then he throws his shield in an attempt to intercept the razor-edged scutum before it finds purchase in its owner's face. "I know you mean well, Zarik," Zissou begins, "But I would like to request you ease up on the order barking. It's very un-cat-like." He then spins his book with the selfsame flourish as he'd done in the past, runs a finger over the open page, then throws the finger forward with a flash of light. Moments later, the small green faerie from before makes an appearance. "Finally! The right faerie!" Zarik exclaims. With a glint in his eye, he does his best Drake Mallard impression, "Let's get dangerous!" he then gives Eos the thumbs up. |

Sorry for the delayed post. Been sick most of this week and haven't wanted to concentrate on any kind of writing. |

Posted by ゼンガー・ゾンボルト Stands for P - What's T - the R - Point This is Blizzard, a company notorious for not giving a rat's left testicle about what the community says in the play testing. The same company with devs so incompetent that have said out of one side of their mouths that they'll fix a bug, then out the other side of their mouth (months later, after failing to fix anything) at how much of a success that "feature" is. Great example: The legendary drops in WoW were supposed to get harder to attain as you got more toward your character's limit of four. Instead, it got easier. They couldn't fix it, so they tried to spin it in a way that made it sound like that's how they intended it to be from the start. |

The gargoyle swings its arms in such a way the expertly deflects the various blades thrown at it. The stone monstrosity shambles toward the party unabated by the force and cold of Belgarion's spell. Curiously enough, its body remains fully intact despite the contradictory temperatures that should be playing havoc on its rocky body.
Zarik furrows his brow at the curiosity unfolding before him, "Dunno what you were attempting to do, guys, but it didn't work." He says as he catches his shield as it rebounds. "We must act quickly!" Zissou cautions, closing his eyes to try and focus a spell. "Already on it..." Zarik responds and assesses the surroundings, "Just gimme a sec to think." The sentient stone masonry continues its advancement. It is no more than twenty five yards away and closing in. |

What in the world happened to your layout?
I was hosting the files on Dropbox, then Dropbox said "lol you can't have persistent hosting like that anymore" and haven't been in the frame of mind to do anything about it (or much of anything else). |

Can you please answer my last question?
I didn't see it. What do you do? Nothing, because you can't burn down that which doesn't exist. Are you among the many campaigning for the return of the McDonald's Szechuan Dipping Sauce? No, because McDonald's sucks. Got any thread ideas for 5000 posts yet? It's taken me a few months to get to 4191 from 4000. I doubt I'll get there any time soon. If I do, I doubt I'll do anything because milestones are arbitrary. |

Favorite movies?
Tommy Boy, the 90s TMNT trilogy, and (maybe) Deadpool. Old Apple products or old IBM products? (N)either. I don't have strong feelings either way. |

You like WinXP?
It was one of the better Windows platforms. At least it didn't have a volatile kernel that attacked itself like ME, and it was slightly better at its own resource management (comparable to other Windows platforms) than Vista. Would I use it again? Doubtful. Win7 has features I've gotten too used to having. Not to mention that XP is obsolete and no longer supported. |

Did your old schools use Windows or Mac?
Both, actually. The elementary school I went to for grades 1-4 had PCs, the elementary I went to for grade 5 had Mac, the middle school I went to had PC and Mac computer labs and PCs in the library, the high school was primarily PC, and the glorified community college I went to (that taught me fuck all) had Mac in their graphic design lab and three different PC labs for people who were going to try to do something with their lives (fat bit of good that did us). |

Quit my job today for the sake of my sanity.
Now I'm sitting here in my bedroom, trying desperately to not feel like I made a huge mistake. In turn, that's only helping to compound the feelings of depression and uselessness I've been feeling lately. Hooray! |

Zarik takes a hasty step toward the eastern wall to give Moxley the room needed to make a run up if that was his plan. "I hope you know what you're doing, because I highly doubt Goliath here is gonna give you a second chance." He remarks pensively immediately before Bel's spell takes effect. Having just been flung ceiling-ward, he comically quips, "Oh shit! Never mind!"
Zissou merely places his forehead into his hand and shakes his head. He sighs audibly, but says nothing. The gargoyle somehow foresees this spell and drives its swords through the marble walls, effectively locking itself into place. |

The Gargoyle takes the brunt of Moxley's shield bash and tries its hardest to maintian its grip on its swords. The walls begin to crumble where the swords are continuing to crack them with crude slices. As Moxley falls to the ceiling, the monstrosity tries its damnedest to maintain its suspension.
Zissou, from the floor due toi being outside of the gravity well's influence, attempts to make himself useful by focusing for a spell by swiping his hand over his codex and closing his eyes for concentration. Zarik puts his shield above (?) his head to protect from the falling (?) debris, quipping, "Today's forecast includes a reverse rain of fine stones. With a chance of..." Getting cut off as Moxley lands in very near vicinity to his face. Stifling laughter, he finishes, "Make that a guaranteed precipitation of knights in heavy plate mail." |

Isn't it fun how for a long time (and sometimes even now) Windows XP was considered modern... while 2000 wasn't?
Two years makes a world of difference, eh? |

What're funniest parts of WinXP?
I don't know. I don't tend to use an OS for humor's sake. |
