Just got done with a grind session for my stream series n Final Fantasy II. Did a bunch of grinding on the Captains in Fynn. Relearning the game while I was at it. Blink is a fucking BROKEN buff spell. I have it on both Firion and Guy at level 5-6. A lot of the damage that comes from the Captain isn't from his weapon itself, it's the fact he can attack six times with it. He can't hit you, he can't do damage. Pair Blink's evasion with Protect's physical defense boost, and you're pretty much golden.
In terms of FFXIV, I hit 70-all a few weeks ago and slowly started to get bored with the arduous grind that is the Animus books for the relic. I let my subscription lapse so I could take a much needed break from the game. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is all three-starred up to the Mirror 150 with a good chunk of the 200cc done as well. But that started to prove kinda tiring, so I shifted focus again. Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is a far better game than I gave it credit for. Had it not came with my Switch, I probably wouldn't have bought it. That said though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. All that's left for me to complete are the co-op (local multiplayer locked, so why not just let me play it single-player with a fourth member because that's how I'm gonna play it anyway) and the Ultimate challenges. I've found all of the treasures (only needing a video guide for one), cleared all other challenges, and scored a Perfect on every battle in the game (most of which, on the first time through). Excellent game. Going on the stream list. I also decided to peek at a few demos that piqued my interest. One was Octopath Traveler. I've been a fan of classic Square RPGs for as long as I can remember, and this one feels like it. It's very well written and the characters showcased in the demo are charming (and I'm not just saying that because Primrose is a seductive dancer, though I did like her story more than Oldric's). The other demo I tried was for Lost Sphear. Really not sure how I feel about that one. Not sure if I just didn't like the gameplay in the demo, or if I was being distracted by a bunch of shit while trying to play it, and getting annoyed by that, or if I honestly didn't like the gameplay. May have to return to this one. Since I'm not ready to go back to Mario Kart just yet, I figured I'd dust off the Wii and give Xenoblade Chronicles a go. Kinda kicking myself for not having played this one years ago. It's really good. I'm about 20 hours in, and I'm only to Frontier Village. From what  ゼンガー・ゾンボルト has been alluding to, I've barely scratched the surface so far. Can't wait to dig in more. |

Sick of hearing about the whole Trump thing already?
I'm sick of political discourse in general. As a mild Trump supporter, myself, I would rather see less railing on him and letting him do his fucking job. The country isn't going to improve if there's infighting between the political parties. What titles would you recommend for randlockes? How so? All I do for my streams these days is "Randlocke [version]" Keep it simple. |

What if I was to try one myself, where'd you recommend starting?
Probably Gen III. Gen I is too limited in scope, Gen II is a slog, and gen IV+ are pretty advanced. Last time you got stuck in a ROM hack due to an emulator bug or the hack not working on real hardware? As someone who tends to not play ROM hacks, I can't say I've ever ran into an issue like this. can you please make the textboxes more opaque or darken the bottom background?  Emuz is hosting the files for me remotely, I can't change anything on my layout without pestering him for it.
On a related note: I find it difficult to read text on  Epele's layout, but you don't hear me whinging about it. 
I'll see what I can do to up the opacity though. |

Do you own any flash carts?
Several for the DS family. An old R4 that got clocked back in the DSi days, a DSTwo Supercard which I love to bits, a Galaxy 3DS that I bought after it was blocked, so it was a wate of money, and a Sky3DS cart that tends to freeze a lot (at least while playing Animal Crossing). I was considering an Everdrive for my N64, ut I've heard they have issues running some game, and they're fucking expensive. |

I finished Mario Kart 8's single player to the threshold I declare to be 100%.
That is: all Grand Prix on all five difficulties cleared with three stars, all 150cc staff times beaten, and 5000 coins collected. Basically "I have all four gold unlocks, and have won every trophy with perfect victory". The 200cc staff times can die in a fire. I like playing the 200cc, but I don't like it that much. |

Rainy and shitty. I went to the laundromat without considering the forecast, so when I put my clothes into the dryer, I brought the tub of laundry soap home and grabbed my umbrella (more to shield my dry clothes from the rain, rather than keep myself dry). I got back to the laundromat, umbrella in hand.... Only to have the skies clear up.
