Bel: Hah. Look at that. A few minutes of ranting, then he snores like a baby. I wouldn't mind resting a bit myself, though. Starting to feel it after busting out the last few spells & attacks.

The wizard walks over to the edge, sits down and leans his back against one of the posts that supports the railing.

Bel: I never used any of my quickened spells but those have already been charged. Luckily, I didn't have to use any big ones directly after we entered this place so I was able to recover most of that energy.

Bel crosses his arms over his chest and closes his eyes to try and meditate a bit.

(Hmm. I just got a greeeat idea.) Bel thinks to himself in the middle of his meditation session.

He gets up and silently walks over to Zarik who sleeps like a dead man a few feet away. He motions the eventual witnesses to not say anything by holding his index finger in front of his mouth, then he magically makes a hand-drawn handlebar moustache appear on Zarik''s face.

After that, he returns to his usual spot where he was meditating before. (Mission Complete.)

As Bel follows suit, he also notices the smell of burning paper oozing in the hallway.

Bel: Oh, so they set it on fire now? Somehow I suspect that it isn't books in form of demons that's burning. And by "changing paths", do you mean that in reference to the layout of the library or that the path is automatically changed by the power of magic? Or simply that it changes as we run through it.

The wizard takes note of Zarik's weapons being carried by the old man. (Such forgetfulness.) Bel shakes his head.

Bel: One more thing. Don't hand those weapons over to Zarik until he tries to grab something he's not in possession of at the moment. I wanna see the look on his face. Unless his immediate existence is in jeopardy, of course.

Power Rangers haven't been relevant since the 80s. And possibly the beginning of the 90s. I remember having one of those Goldar figures with wings and all. Unfortunately, I can't find it anymore.
