Posted by Swingball That's a good question. If you're talking about comedy spots and matches, they are a bit rarer in wrestling, since most promotions are going for a certain vibe. Chikara tends to be a bit brighter and more family friendly, so they tend to do that stuff more with guys like Chuck Taylor and Ultramantis Black (who just recently retired). And don't even get me started on stuff like Kaiju Big Battel and Hoodslam... Elsewhere on the indies, guys like Colt Cabana and Kenny Omega have been known to go to the funny side, and "Broken" Matt Hardy had a breakout 2016 making some of the craziest stuff in wrestling today. |
