Wow, that's a tiny resolution.

How could you possibly live with that?
That's how we lived in the early 2000s ;)! It's either that or getting an LCD. I'll die before I have an LCD at home.

Opera. Fastest page rendering, better options.

Firefox is a memory hog, slow to render, has an awful UI since version 4, breaks compatibility every single update... Just saying!

If you want to know what feature is coming up in next versions of Firefox just use Opera. The Mozilla Foundation loves stealing ideas from it. ;)

The only reason Firefox is popular over Opera is because back when IE6 began to suck, Opera was paid and the free version was ad-based.

The only addon problem I had in Firefox was when I forced addons that didn't support the current Firefox to be turned on. But that's kinda going towards the "You messed with it yourself, it's your own fault for breaking it" territory, complete with tonnes of warnings to do not do that.
You do realize that, by default, if you design a plugin for, say Firefox 3.6.25, when you update your FF to 3.6.26, it would be automatically disabled, due to incompatibility.

By default, once Firefox updates, even if they don't change the plugin API (they always do though ;)), the add-on author still has to "update" his add-on to "support" the newer version (it's a one character change really). Meanwhile your add-on is broken.
That's how I recall anyway, I never updated past 3.6.

Final Fantasy 7 was the only game that made me cry. I was 8 at the time. At the end of the first disc.

Two other games made me want to cry: Radical Dreamers (also at the end) and Shadow of the Colossus.

I should've checked this post before since I was the one who implemented it. Anyways:

I can imagine that list would get very tiring to dig through if we had a few more users. Why not add "add to post radar" links to profile views? It'd make it simpler. <_<
That's a good idea. I'll implement it.

More generally, I think the Post Radar form could use a less weird design, like listing all the users alongside delete buttons or something... the old AB1 way feels kinda weird.

I kept it that way because there will be a complete rewrite of the software, so I was just adding missing features from 1.xx, exactly as they were.

Also, I think the 'add user' field should be a text field where you enter an username, rather than a dropdown. The dropdown is gonna be hard to use when we have like 1000 users, as GM said, but it'll also make the HTML output quite large.

Again, I just copied the output from the 1.xx versions. Typing a user name would be interesting though (with AJAX of course).

Another issue with the post radar, on the grammar front...

"Add an user?"

Please fix this... The article used should be 'a,' not 'an.'

I just copied the output from 1.xx, and since english isn't my first language, I figured it was correct.

Meanwhile, you can easily find a user by clicking on the dropdown and typing his name. Usually dropdown controls will try to locate the string you're typing.

If you go the 3D world with 2D sprites route, I'd like to suggest to have 2 walking directions: left/right and 3/4 perspective.

Just a random thought, not sure if it'd work.

If I get access to the codebase, I promise to make a branch with selection and 3D working. If I get it perfectly, you could move it to the master branch.
Of course, when I suggested this I wanted to keep the textures with the 16-bit feel, with hardly any smoothing (eg. NN-sampling).

As for the show style, I believe a switch to 3D wouldn't change much. A shader could even be made to make heights, etc more "fluffy".
