♥8043 ✿4735 ★68 THE LEGEND OF NICOLE
MANY YEARS AGO PRINCESS DARKNESS " NICOLE " USE ONE OF THE COMPUTER WITH INTERNET. PRINCE ACMLM HAD ONE OF THE COMPUTER WITH FORUM. HE DIVIDED IT INTO "8"UNITS TO HIDE IT FROM NICOLE BEFORE HE WAS INACTIVE. No, wait, that's not right... Basically yeah, I barely remember the internet not existing- some of my earliest memories are playing Checkers online via Prodigy, and it just kind of went from there. |

♥8044 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by skyluigi Science is a failure, we live in a universe of pure chaos, not even the most trivial fact can be proven. Trust me on this, I'm a scientist. no there's no way to prove whether I'm a scienceist or not either |

♥8045 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress Well, going off of a half-remembered philosophy class, Descartes' argument beyond I think therefore I am was heavily dependent on the existence of a god who was not a deceiver. Unfortunately his argument there is somewhat less convincing than the argument for the existence of the self. And even the self is not convincing insofar as it proves anything. If one accepts a probabilistic interpretation (as is typically done) of quantum mechanics then many events simply shift from "impossible" to "improbable", and the foundation of the world becomes chaotic, which was my earlier postulate. In such a case we could imagine a non-deceptive god that brings order out of chaos- but this would imply that things only work because that particular god wants it to work that way. Whether that is satisfying or not depends on your worldview; I find it somewhat unsatisfying as it implies that mortal beings can not actually probe the cosmos without divine intervention. If one accepts the many-worlds theory of quantum physics, then things do not need to be chaotic as necessarily as they do elsewhere- but it does imply that all improbable events must happen somewhere. I tend to dislike theories where the ability to make predictions depends on the fact that you will be wrong sometimes- this is why I dislike the Doomsday Argument. (Also, I prefer to imagine an infinitely existing human civilization that overcomes entropy, because I'm an optimist) Finally, regardless of physics, any prediction and observation is very difficult to definitively say whether it occurs outside of a self-delusion. It's not difficult to imagine a world where the music I'm listening to suddenly turns into loud violent beeps, and some girl wakes up in the year 43,000 AD on the Worldship Delta-9 and wonders about that strange dream she had that was a lot like what she imagined old 21st century Earth to be like, except they had the internet for some reason. |

♥8047 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SaphireBlaise Judging an English word's pronunciation by its spelling is a dangerous game- for example, "minimum" breaks your pattern. |

♥8048 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by skyluigi I'd like it more if people read them, but I realize that you're all just here to spam and that would reduce post rate productivity. So instead I'll have to make them even longer muahahahaha Posted by skyluigi This question doesn't parse. Are you asking me which tail length I prefer? In which case I would say long, but short and bob-tailed cats are also cute. |

♥8050 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by CherryBunny But the long huge essay types are the best! Anyway, faced with a limit like that I'd just use larger paragraphs Posted by SquidEmpress You listened to me too much and now you think you can use quantum mechanics to simplify your answers. =o |

♥8053 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress We'll assume a basic two-state system, the first state being success, the second state being failure. Our spinor χ(Φ) ends up looking like: |sin(Φ)\We'll assume that you act in the x-direction. Therefore, your matrix ends up like this: χ(final)=/sin(Φ)|0 1|sin(Φ)\Therefore, you passing or failing is a purely classical effect, and anything at quantum scales can have no effect. |

♥8055 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress Lili~ ♥ would tell you it's a gender thing, but that has bad implications for me So I would instead say that it's a highly specialized field and the point was mostly just to be complicated Posted by SquidEmpress Well, being a Goddess still outranks an Empress. Unless you're a God-Empress. That's the kind of title I can totally get behind. Posted by skyluigi Sure. ...so, where is it? |
