Is it just me or besides the rom hacking thread (which I still haven't had the courage to actually check out in depth, I know, boo me) does the forum seem kinda dead? I didn't expect to come back and find myself to be the most active on some days.

The usual trend of the forum is to pass through an era where someone is an active poster and brings the forum usuals to life for awhile, then they leave for whatever reason and the forum dies out for awhile. It has happened with Katie, with Rydia, and now the era of Squiddy seems to have passed. Thus is the circle of life.

Also, magenta is not a wavelength of light. It's not in the rainbow. It's your brain inventing a color that appears when your red and blue cones are activated but the green one is not.
Right, but now you're defining 'color' as a wavelength of light, which I would argue is not the common usage of the word.

Also, two points.
  1. One time I did use this factoid in the planning for a certain webcomic that never got off the ground because of my inability to draw. In the universe of that webcomic, 'magenta radiation' was found to be another fundamental force that was not inherently electromagnetic and could interact with human consciousness. Thus the magenta force was the equivalent of a more scientifically defined version of 'magic'. (A high quantity of natural magenta reactors in Romania was the cause of vampires, for example)

  2. I very recently had a very similar conversation with Mary about the supposed non-existence of the color magenta due to the scientific non-existence of a monochrome wavelength that our visual cortex would interpret as magenta. This, combined with your voice, is thus making me suspicious again. :p

As it turns out, I did a minor key hack of SMB3 ages ago (actually just porting the code from an NSF Acmlm did)... Can't guarantee it works 100% because past- Nicole does silly things, but here's an IPS patch. Hope it helps :)
