Wasn't it over priced when it was launched here? I remember seeing a bunch at the store, but everyone was either getting Sega and Nintendo.

you might be thinking of the CD add-on, the console itself was only $199

Sure, but you have to help me carry it up the narrow stairs to my third-floor apartment :)

I don't know if there are commercially-available AES -> MVS converters, though (SNK tried very hard to prevent this from happening during the Neo Geo's life), so I'd have to re-buy more cartridges for it... alas

it wouldn't be hard to do but i'm not sure if any exist right now
