♥12901 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by ゼンガー・ゾンボルト It's like NoScript, if you've heard of that? If not, it's a tool that gives fine-grained control over what domains you allow to run Javascript or other things on websites; useful for blocking tracking scripts and the like. It breaks a lot of sites though and can be a challenge to figure out what domains are allowed... hence my thought. Other than that I have no idea why it wouldn't work |

♥12912 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Darkhero On my copy of Ys I&II on the TurboGrafx-CD, the "Field" track occasionally won't repeat, thus putting the map in silence. This might sound not that bad, but consider: the track is really good Posted by Danika The Dallas clock chip for sure; any time you have to drill into the plastic carrier of an IC, you're having a bad day. |

♥12914 ✿4735 ★68 I made an NES game! Check it out: Itch.io link, has screenshots
I'll probably hold off to see if any big bugs get found, but I'd like to make some cartridges of this, if only for myself. I like making JS games, but they don't lend themselves to having a physical artifact. |

♥12915 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Danika Sure, but you have to help me carry it up the narrow stairs to my third-floor apartment I don't know if there are commercially-available AES -> MVS converters, though (SNK tried very hard to prevent this from happening during the Neo Geo's life), so I'd have to re-buy more cartridges for it... alas |

♥12916 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Darkhero My understanding is that it would be hard to do; while the ROMs are drop-in interchangeable between the two, the cartridge boards are very different; AES cartridges contain some chips that are inside the system on the MVS. So to go MVS -> AES you just need to put those chips in your converter, but to go the other way you have to somehow reverse those chips' multiplexing, which is non-trivial. Of course, finding documentation on this is incredibly hard; from what I hear the Neo scene still has a lot of hoarding of data, which is annoying. The easiest option would probably just be to get an MVS cabinet with a busted or missing mainboard and create a JAMMA -> AES board adapter. It better be a single-game model, though, or that'd just be disappointing. And, of course, I can't carry a real arcade cabinet up my stairs |

♥12918 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Darkhero 2000 in a heartbeat. Unlike many people, I don't have fond memories of Windows 98; I blamed it for bogging down and hurting the performance of my old Pentium MMX. |
