Not that many! I don't have a 2600 and haven't really dug into its library; of the systems I do have, the only one that I've played 70's software on is the Apple ][: Steve Wozniak's Little Brick Out.

Hell, I haven't even gotten around to playing Zork beyond the most basic poking!

When I played the game the first time, I would've said the destruction of Zeal. I just really liked the Enlightened Ones, even though I knew they were doomed and I knew their civilization was irredeemable I hoped they would survive somehow, maybe getting twisted in the future into something that I would be happier to destroy myself-- but of course, that isn't a bad part of the game. It was just me getting way too into the story. There's a tragedy there. (I will lead my child, Algo, upon the path of destruction...)

I guess from a more reasonable viewpoint, I think the fact is that I felt like 2,300 A.D., 12,000 A.D., and 65,000,000 B.C. were so different from the time periods where you spend most of the game (1,000 A.D. and 600 A.D.) that they could be different planets, but those two are very similar. Would've been nicer if you could see more connections to the world throughout. (The person in 1,999 A.D. talking about "Guardia Dome" or whatever is a nice step in that direction)

My go-to non-Chromebook parent laptop recommendation is usually the Lenovo ThinkPad (the low-end ones, not the fancier series); but they certainly don't come in white. That's a unique requirement.

Mario Party. Because you'll break your controller, and they don't exactly make new N64 controllers! Actually I think Hyperkin might make new ones, maybe stick to those for that game.

The Famicom Disk System-- hey, it's a peripheral for the Family Computer, is it not?

Also, that one Atari 8-bit XEP80 80-column add-on (which was first-party!) that plugged into the joystick port, of all things. With all the add-on interfaces of the Atari 8-bits, you'd really think they'd have figured out something better than that...

Today would have been Taryn's 33rd birthday... occasionally it still feels like it was my fault she died (she ignored me when I told her to seek medical help) but I've pretty much moved on anyway

I have the same "maybe I could've done more" thoughts occasionally as well glad to hear you're able to move on, like AtomicAstro says, it's a natural reaction to think like that but it wasn't either of our faults
