I had to scale back a huge bit of my collection but...I'm playing Lunar: Silver Star Harmony right now. TIME TO FINISH A REMAKE OF A GAME I'VE BEATEN DOZENS OF TIMES OVER GAMES IN MY COLLECTION THAT I'VE NEVER TOUCHED |

As usual, I'm bouncing around from title to title but for the most part I've been playing:
Dark Souls: Easily game of the year in my book. It's equally as awesome as the first one and even though the open world is amazingly designed, I still slightly prefer the "level" system the last one had. There was all this hype about how it was supposed to be much harder than Demon's but so far I've found it to be on par, more or less. It's not so much "difficult" as it is unforgiving and I think there's a distinct difference. VVVVVV: This game hyper-owns. I love to Atari inspired graphics and it has a kickass soundtrack to it. I'm only about an hour into it so far but it seems like it's going to be a short game. The game mechanics are simple and fun, which is perfect. Castlevania Harmony of Despair: I don't know if it's my internet or just the fact that no one plays it, but I can never find anyone online during any time period. It's pretty fun single player but it was obviously meant to be played with more than one person. Skyward Sword: I think I'm actually done with this game. What a colossal letdown. Even more handholding than previous Zelda games and Fi comes off as even more annoying than Navi was. And the backtracking, my god the backtracking... I wouldn't say it's a "bad" game by any means but it's easily the weakest 3D Zelda game to date. Kirby's Return to DreamLand: Probably the best Wii game to come out this year (We don't have Xenoblade yet) with Nintendo's most consistently good franchise. It's still as easy as the others but they were purposely designed that way but the gameplay is still top-notch and some of the time trials are actually pretty difficult. Mario Kart 7: Why do I keep falling for this series? The rubberbanding AI is back yet AGAIN. Why?! Super Mario 3D Land: This game rules. I don't play it in 3D (or any 3DS game for that matter) but it looks and plays great without it regardless. It's nice to be playing semi-sidescrolling airship levels again. |

Deus Ex HR was great but wasn't perfect, as opposed to Dark Souls.
I actually played through HR twice because I liked it that much, which is a rare thing for me to do with most new games these days. |

I really don't mind the rubberbanding so much in multiplayer, as it keeps things interesting, but when I'm forced to unlock characters in 150cc it becomes a huge pain in the ass.
They should have just done it like they did with SSBB. You can either unlock characters by playing a lot of the single player campaign or you can skip to multiplayer and do it that way. It gave you an option instead of forcing you to trog through a portion of the game which you might not enjoy. |

Currently Forza 4, but I jump from game to game so rapidly hence my massive backlog.
I mean, I have... oh... Skyrim, Sonic Generations, Dark Souls, Portal 2 and Catherine SITTING ON MY SHELF and they haven't been touched yet. :\ |

The problem with such a large backlog is you don't know where to start while wanting to play a bit of every game at the same time. |

Your sentiment about backlog problems is a bulls-eye. I still have quite a few games to play that I haven't so much as started yet.
In the mean time though, I just downloaded Cave Story, but I'm planning on trying it out either tomorrow or over the weekend. I have also joined a friend in playing through Resident Evil 5 in co-op, which ideally will be finished tomorrow, and I'm still hoping to get around to that Super Mario Unlimited hack at some point. |

I hate my backlog. It's worse cause they're all 80 hours JRPGs. I figure I can play them when I'm dead. Anyone have any blogs or anything that has their backlog progress? I have mine....somewhere |

Oh fuck... I have one hell of a backlog myself... Much like everyone else who's said it, it's kinda daunting to decide what I should be playing. Most of the time, my indecisiveness has me sitting there, bored mindless. |

I've been playing Twilight Princess quite a bit the past few days, logging about twelve hours in the past two days... Trying to be as complete as possible while remaining blind. It's driving me nuts.
As for other games, I'm getting pretty close to the end of Bowser's Inside Story. I just beat the Dark Star in the Airway and regained control of Bowser. I'm having a severe case of hate for Mario Party DS. I'm all so very glad I'm playing it on my r4, because the amount of stupid rage it induces because of the AI making ass pull reversals makes me feel that the game isn't even worth the space on my SD card. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 is much better than I thought it would be. It's pretty true to its predecessor, but has a few nice new additions, like saving anywhere. |
