Posted by Danikait's not that i haven't heard of leap seconds (in fact i've heard of leap smear, which is an interesting concept if you haven't heard of it), it's more like i wasn't sure what the connection was between trump and leap seconds (that's not really his jurisdiction). Posted by Robbie Ragenope :[ i was just a bit too young for Angelfire or AOL Hometown. by the time i got on the internet geocities and freewebs were the only site building type things that were in vogue. amusingly, angelfire still exists. Posted by DarkWitchClaireyes!!! i made a website or two or three in it quite a while ago, maybe 2004 or so. it was fun! |

at first, i was about to say it wouldn't be. you could argue that it's a little unethical based on the amount of resources needed vs. its practicality (it only has a very remote chance of extending a small handful of lives). there's another income inequality-based element in that it's prohibitively expensive for most people. but those are minor by themselves.
but then i realized that there are people that probably try to market cryonics to people despite its lack of proven effectiveness, and i realized that selling people an unproven medical solution for absurd amounts of money is pretty unethical. (i found out cryobiologists are a thing! literally people who study the effects of very cold temperatures on living things. most of them believe cryonics is unlikely to work at best and impossible at worst.) |

Think people in 2040 will wonder what "Yolo" or "Flawless" or "Keep on Slayin'" meant? "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

i don't think "flawless" is going to exit the english lexicon in a mere 20 years...
even still i think people will remember it as funnily dated slang, but they won't hear it enough to wonder what it means -- i mean "yolo" is already kinda at that point already. i mean people remember some 1950s slang and that's approaching 70 years old by this point it's all a moot point as english is going to be a dead language by then owing to the complete collapse of the united states and united kingdom, so nobody will understand any english words |

Posted by DarkWitchClaireno idea. i'd say "coronavirus" but that's possibly in there already because of previous non-covid-19 coronavirus strains. i think we're still a ways off from like, "simp" making it in Posted by Danikait disappeared for me and i was puzzled so i tried removing it and re-adding it and removing it again and it wouldn't come back. turns out i'd just accidentally blocked my own layout lmao. anyways, it's back now, so yay |

i dunno -- i am not a lawyer, but i reckon you'd have to prove that the mental anguish resulted in emotional distress that caused physical harm. generally i've only ever heard of emotional distress as a reason for suing someone in addition to other claims... you'd probably have to ask a lawyer for more details, though, to see if you have a case.
that said if you're still suffering this much from emotional distress caused by your ex, a therapist would probably really, really help with that. it seems pretty probable from my vantage point that they caused you some trauma. good luck. |
