Posted by DarkWitchClaire I'm not sure if it's an "alarm", per say, but I love the song that plays before you fight the Fiends in SMT Nocturne. Especially before the Matador fight, because the whole boss fight just literally comes out of nowhere, this super intimidating music starts playing as he challenges you to a duel, and then a super hard boss fight just happens that totally wrecks your shit if you're not prepared. It's sooo fucking good. Also, the organs and guitar that play before the Dante boss fight are pretty rad too. Posted by Danika None really immediately come to mind honestly. It's not a particularly hard boss fight on its own, but there was a lot of bad luck and other factors that fucked me over. For one thing, right as I was about to defeat it (which had been fairly easy up to that point, as the boss fight wasn't that hard), he used some charm spell on someone and they used a healing move to heal him entirely back to full health. In addition, because of its stupid AI party system, I had to have one of my members on standby throughout the whole fight, because the boss puts up a shield that instantly kills you if you hit it, and he kept hitting it. And finally, I have only enough SP for one more attack, and my whole party is wiped out and I'm at very low health. This somehow miraculously kills him. Posted by Danika Any really hard ROM hack I guess, but in terms of actual real games... since it was ported to Mario All-Stars, SMB Lost Levels (or JP Mario 2, depending on how you think of it). The whole thing basically is just a ROM hack. Probably a super boring answer. Or maybe Super Ghouls n' Ghosts. That whole series was always bullshit hard.
