There aren't any other "real" tablets... Despite how closed and demanding Apple is, the iPad is still hands down the best tablet out there.

I bought the 64GB 4G iPad 3. The part that broke, the digitizer, is $60 online, give or take depending on supplier. I will need to buy a heat gun to soften and loosen up the adhesive holding it in place.

Seriously though, I will be putting Apple aside from now on when considering buying technology, except when it comes to maybe an iPod. I just love to be able to get underneath and inside the workings of just about anything, and Apple just doesn't let you do that. I've got to be able to get my fingers dirty and tinker around, in both software side and hardware side.

Well, a blow dryer isn't as focused as a heat gun, doesn't produce as much heat, and is loud as hell. I might as well just get the proper tool, since I can remember countless situations where I could've used one.

I remember when we needed a heat gun in the lab we were able to find a fairly cheap store-branded one at Ace Hardware; just be careful you're not getting things too hot. (As the "high" setting on this gun was >_>

The "low" one was fine for our needs, though)

Eh, I don't HATE Apple. If you want a Mac, fine, get one. Have fun.

But Windows is equally fine, just cause I use a Windows doesn't mean I'm an uncultured simpleton, and Macs aren't the best things since sliced bread. Seriously, anyone someone's like "Your Windows computer broke again? Why don't you go buy a Mac?" I just say "Sure give me thousands of bucks and I'll go out and get it RIGHT now."

Besides, if I had a Dell, I couldn't play my old classic games as easily. And I needs mah Zork fix yo.

Well, look at that! I just found my PSP 3000 that I lost ages ago. It even has the Star Wars: Battle Front II UMD inside it. I'd like to see what games I can find for it, but chances are that this is the only one left. Now I face a moral dilemma... do I try to mod the PSP to play downloadable computer games or do I just waste a bunch of money, but get actual disks?

I've never made any modifications before, so it would give me some experience, but on the other hand I'm not sure it's entirely legal.

In last day's newspaper I read many breads are being removed from the supermarkets when not bought the day they were created. I believe the breads get destroyed after removal. Its a shame, because the breads can easely be eaten one day after being created. Of Course breads will get mouldy after a few days, but supermarkets getting rid of breads not bought the day of baking? Comon... By now there excists one foodstore wich sells the one-day-old breads for one-third of their prices, or something.. I doubt the breads are airtight sealed within their plastic bags, but I still eat slices when its from yesterday. -More people do.. The boss from a foodstore said one-day old breads could be given to the Salvation Army. I also made up some possibilities but forgot about them..

It's a shame when bread is given an "eat by" date of the day it's baked on. Not all supermarkets do that though. The one I work in typically gives a 3 day lifespan on bread baked in the store, and the price is reduced on the last day.

I'm wondering why HDMI (or this television... or BOTH!) has to be so shitty. Half a second lag in PC gaming over an HDMI cable is unacceptable. Particularly when half a second means the difference between jump and splat.
