Yeah, Mondays. Today is stone cold fuck nuts. I went in to work at 6 in the morning, only to find out that the freight truck is late and will not be there until 10. So I drive back home and try to get a couple of hours of sleep, then head back to work. I unload the truck, then find out I have a furniture shipment. I finish unloading that and ANOTHER 18 wheeler was waiting! Holy fuck, man.

Yeah, I am tired.

Well, I haven't been too much myself as of the late. No one notices probably because I just registered recently. I haven't slept much and it has been on my mind a lot lately. So I hope to get that all worked out before it messes with my mind further. I need to stay sharp. :)

Finally found a theme that I like. Now to work on the layout. Wish I knew how to make them instead of finding old ones to use.

Where do you work?

I'm thinking of making a new layout. Ol' Doc Scratch has served me well, but I need something... else. I don't know what, but I'll keep thinking on it. It's really only a side project of mine, and I suck at making layouts, so who knows when anything will come of it.

I work at a casino, in a buffet. Here's their website. I hate it there so much, but I need the money to pay the bills, so I'm stuck there right now. I get a lot of people asking me if I went to school to cook or if I like to cook, both answers are no. I rather go to school for writing and I don't like to cook. I can come up with things out of the blue, but I really don't like cooking. Its a job, nothing more to me.

A dude who got fired even put up a video on YouTube. A lot of it is true, but since I and everyone else that works there needs their jobs, we just do our job and leave.


I just checked out some of the comments and the person that mention breaks is spot on. They automatically take 30 minutes out of your pay. If you don't take your break, you don't get paid for those 30 minutes that you did work. Very annoying, especially when you don't have anyone to cover you for your break. Like Sundays, I can't take my break until 9pm and I get off at 9:30pm. I work for 8 hours, standing up, because I can't get anyone to cover me. Same goes for when I'm on the pasta station. Last Tuesday I had to walk away from the station at like 9:40 to get my break and I got off at 10:30pm. So yea, there's a lot of crap going on there, but I work, go home and that 's that. And then sometimes rant about it. All I can do is work on my writing and hope that it is the right course to take to get me the hell out of there.

I can imagine working in a casino would be high stress. Everyone is worried about cheaters, thieves, and trying to get the players to the tables/machines for a long as possible. Pretty crappy about the breaks :P

I work at a University so they are pretty nice about things. Part of my job is to walk to building to building, as well as not minding a few minutes of break as long as nothing is pressing. (And I am happy as if I don't get up and walk around every so often I get stir crazy)

I work at a community college tutoring lab. There are no designated breaks, but if no students need help we can do what we want, and we're allowed to take a few minutes to get a drink or use the bathroom.

Stomach bugs are awful. I had one a few years ago and I felt like I was going to die. Nothing would stay down, not even water.
