I've been running around crazy at work. At least I got the proper amount of sleep today. I'll be working on my computers tonight (at least that's the plan).

I tried not taking a nap today and I ended up sleeping from ?:?? PM to 5PM, for at least two hours. I feel that I made backwards progress today. 
I am hoping to fix my sleep schedule before the first of August. |

I feel you on that, Scry. My sleep schedule is shitty too. sleep from 3am to 2pm or so. Yeah, it's messed. However sometimes I get the odd nap in. |

So. About 20 minutes after I got home.. I heard some running water. Turns out the sealed up fireplace in my bedroom is longer 'fully' sealed. So I had to use my only towl I have, plus paper towls and storage containers to play "relay" to drain it before it got past the tile area and into the carpet. Not fun. My rough guess is your sleeping pattern should return to normal when you neighbors return. I do know insomnia sucks. When I have it as well sometimes I am so tired I should be able to sleep instantly, but it never happens. The only thing I try to do is turn off all distractions in the room and do some slow breathing. Often it helps to stop the mind racing..

Could this week get ANY FUCKING WORSE?!?
First, my fucking laptop dies; then, a transformer that supplies power behind my friend's house blows in the storm; now, I look over at my TV to look my stuff over to see that my Wii's power indicator light is off, despite there being power to it. I hope to FUCK that it's just the adapter that got overloaded and died, because I can NOT afford to replace the Wii on top of my motherfucking computer. What pisses me off is that it was on a surge protector, so it should have been fine! I fucking hate my life right now. Everything just seems to be going to shit. |

Hokey Gee Willikers! My friend, Jeremy, just brought his Wii and power adapter over for me to troubleshoot mine.
Good news, everyone! SHE LIVES! My Wii is operational! The adapter is what got fucked up in the storm! That is a massive load off of my chest. |

Hope you find a really nice laptop/replacement computer soon! That reminds me of a similar story. I was downstairs during a tornado/lightening storm and lightening had stuck out cable apparently and we were watching the news downstairs when it struck. The TV turned off with a loud POP and we thought the bulb went out on this brand new TV that costed a lot of money. But it turns out, only the cable box popped or something and it just turned off instead. God it would have been so very expensive to replace. |

I have everything I own on a protecter but it is the rest of my family which isn't as...protected I suppose. I never had any system crash or anything die from a power surge either. |

Last week, our house got struck directly by lightning... lucky there was no fire but many of our electronics got fried, including my computer, three TVs, and my computer speakers  Friend bought a new laptop a couple days ago (thought my PS2 was fried but tried it again a couple days later and it worked... I tend to use passwords which are corruptions of other ones I use these days. It's so much easier to remember.. just the tricky bit is remembering which corruption to use where.  The world could always use more heroes! |
