I went into the city today to see the tall ships which are on display in Boston Harbor, only two were there (tomorrow is the last day), a Colombian ship and an Indonesian one. It was pretty neat to see, though the lines were long.

While we were there we stopped at the "No Name" Restaurant on the Fish Pier and had fried clams, which were delicious. :-3

Today I got a 400 watt power inverter for the roadtrip so we can play Xbox and watch movies in the car. I only wonder if I could get Xbox live tunneling through my iPad's 4G service... Nah, I doubt it'll work, nor would I need it.

Also succeeded in pissing off my roommate. Whoop-de-fucking-doo. He likes to whine about dumb shit.

I finally got my new PSP running custom firmware, and I decided to test out the video out since I kinda need it for something I'm planning for my let's play of Final Fantasy II. I found that directly using standard definition video out works fine from the main menu and in PSOne Classics downloaded from the Playstation Network, yet playing a PSP game (both from a UMD or an iso thereof) you need to be using HD output.

My question is quite simply this: Why? It doesn't make any fucking sense to require that since the system's screen is a mere 480x272. Hardly high definition by a long shot. Let's not forget that you can play the aforementioned PSOne Classics in full screen on the PSP though the video out without the fucking thing crying about it. I don't think it's very fair that they released a component cable that isn't even fucking compatible with booting games, let alone getting gameplay.

I then went to do a little bit of research into a homebrew solution. I found a plugin called FuSa that supposedly bypasses the HD requirement by overriding the output by a sort of emulation. That's all well and good in theory, until I had to try three different versions of the plugin on five or six different firmwares and ultimately coming up with nothing.

I'm pretty pissed off, and I think it's pretty well justified.

Waiwaiwait...

You're having problems streaming/recording PSP stuffs?

What about RJL 0.19? I've had no problems using it. Not the best thing ever made but it's the best thing you can use via USB.

^-- Like so.

Well, it isn't so much what I did today as I did this night.
I took a look at some dev code after my dev status update in an effort to understand what all there is to learn about this version so that I might become even more useful around here. ;)

Expect some awesome new things to come to a AB2.5 near you. I don't want to give the surprise away so I'll just state that it is something a lot of people may quite enjoy.
I'll fix some things along the way first as it is pretty big and may take some time. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. I may just lose sleep over it.

I took an incredibly long nap.

I have no idea why I am so tired today, but I spent most of the day sleeping.

I worked today. Making up for the lost work-time for being off for two days. :) I liked being off, but there is always a side effect...

I tutored some friends in calculus.

Now I am going to read "Finite-Dimensional Vector Spaces" and some "Organic Chemistry" as well.

Maybe later I will practice some of Beethoven Sonata Op. 10 No. 1.

Dude, what the fuck are you doing on a message board? It sounds like the potential you already have should be propelling you way past the existence of boredom required to post on a board like this.

You are one classy asian. :D

Last couple of days were horrid. I had the floor crew come to strip and wax the floors, which, in preparation for that, was scheduled a closing shift and opening shift back-to-back. The worst part of it is moving the 4000 square feet of furniture and other occupied floor space and then moving it all back after they're done. My hands are blistered, and it hurts to type. BUT I AM DOING IT FOR YOOOOUUUU KAFUKAAAAAA!

Oh shit! @Hiryuu responded to me and I somehow missed it? Sorry. D:

I have RJL 0.19. I use it to make the screenshots I posted in the screen thread, and the .gifs of Ultima and Flare from FFII. I've tried recording with it, but it doesn't get the game audio, and it chops something fierce with my recording software (Camtasia 7) running. I've tried the AVI capture it has built in, but it crashes after a few minutes of recording... Not just RJL crashing, but my PSP, too... I think it's too much hassle.

Sony is fucking retarded for requiring HD out for such a low-resolution system... Hell, it doesn't even fill the full screen when you do HD out the damn thing. Way to go, Sony, you fucking morons.

@KP9000: Suck it up, pussy! I'monlykiddingpleasedon'thateme.

Just woke up...thinking about this 3 mile run I have planned to knock out before the sun comes up. Then it'll be the norm...don't get home from work until around 5pm. Water the plants/lawn, take the wifey out to dinner (that way I don't have to cook or clean), shower, relax and spend a little computer time before bed. Yup. I think that sums up my weekdays pretty well.

I went to bed a bit late this time but I managed to sleep until 6:05 AM this time. So it balances out a bit. I just hope I don't need to fall asleep again.

I didn't do much during the day.. Was busy at work.

But this evening, I found the time to work on the board code a bit more.

Had to work today, then got home and checked IRC and Twitter... Friend brought home her replacement laptop, helped her set it up (she said Best Buy tried to talk her into a tablet :P)... Had dinner then watched some Simpsons on DVD (one disc per day, seasons 1 through 13)

I went out with my brother and his girlfriend to a bar, for trivia night. I was pretty much the reason we didn't get dead last (we got, like, 7th out of 14). I got quite a few questions, actually, like ones about Monty Python or Harry Potter, and I got many other random ones (which South American country has Portuguese as its main language? I know that cause I dated a Brazilian lady once. Life feeds trivia sometimes), and had a great time.

I purchased a glass sculpture of a bird and a flower for my parents. It was very pretty.

Unfortunately I didn't bring enough pocket money to purchase the really nice sculptures, because I didn't think there would be anything worth buying at the local art fair. I guess I will remember to bring a couple hundred next year. I hope that Chinese couple returns with their glass sculptures. They make very pretty glass animals and I would like to get more for my parents.

Yesterday I went out all day to Whistler and spent time looking at shit, and going up the mountain and stuff. I met face to face with my arch-enemy again for an hour. Snow.

Today however, I am going to a Museum. Yay.
