I was going to post this in the general Doctor Who thread, I decided to try something. It seems we have a good collections of people who are actively watching Doctor Who. I got to thinking, maybe for each episode of series 7 we could have a discussion about each episode (using spolier tags for anything specifically spoliing) and see how it goes. Let's give it a try!

Episode #1 - "Asylum of the Daleks"

Welp I'll keep the spoilers to a minimum for now since people tend to peek anyway I really liked the episodes as a fan of most of the Dalek themed episodes. I loved seeing all the various models in decay. Rory's interaction with them was funny too.

Well I won't go into too much detail, but I'll pick up in the discussion as we get more people watching it. (Mostly due to just waking up) I will say the sound byte of Daleks screaming "Doctor Who?" I can see being used all over the place

Yay, Discussion!

Yeah. The Avatar is a "Dalek Vision" on the cheap. I had about 15 minutes to slap it together.. I remembered I didn't have any Doctor Who Mood Avatars.

I really enjoyed the episode. As most people who are fans of Doctor who I like all the Dalek centric storylines. I figured out what the final story of Oswin would be shortly after The inital landing on the planet. It shall be interesting to see how the Daleks act next time they appear.

So I'm going to make this thread as spoiler so we can just talk openly. If you want to talk about this episode or the next episode we can start a little of that too..

Indeed. It seems to be a contrived way to cause a little bit of well lack of a better word "drama" during their absence. It seems odd that they couldn't resolve the conflict without a divorce. It was related to the inability to have children, and the Rory character would not overlook it easily. I don't know. Indeed I hope Oswin does make a reappearance. She was adorable... we shall see.

"I never had a gang before.... this is new!"

Welp I actually really enjoyed this episode. We had a lot of humor in it, but we got to see a little bit of the "Vengeful Doctor" at the end. As last week I'll hold my final comments until others have had a chance to talk.

Sorry I am late with this.. but I've been fighting a nasty cold on top of working on the project all week.

I wasn't as exstatic with this weeks, but I did find it enjoyable. I liked seeing Ben Browder in the sheriff role. I think he did a good job

"The Power of Three"

Main point of this article kinda hit what the core of this episode seemed to be. I am perpetual self spoiler so I know what is in store, so I won't go into detail (and the article may give some away). I thought the idea of invading cubes interesting. Indeed people would pick them up and bring them into their homes, than forget about them a year later.

I wonder how long until we see prop replica resin cubes for sale on the RPF lol

So yup. Our good bye episode to Rory and Amy. I have to say the cherubs were kinda creepy (as they should be!)

This half of the series was so short this time. What does everyone think so far?
