I've done it a few times. Only when I was really stuck though, and even then only rarely. Academic dishonesty carried huge penalties.

For those dopey online assignments, sometimes I'd look up the question in a search engine. One allowed infinite tries and was multiple-choice, so I'd guess all A's, then see which ones were wrong, change those to B's, see which of those were wring, change them to C's, and so on for all the choices

I'm one of those "Brilliant But Lazy" people. I'll do anything to get out of doing homework
