Edit: The first was quite easy for me but the 12th match was trickier. But in the end I thought Castle Bleck topped it just by a hair. Both are great tracks.

Listened to all four. First impresses:
Ice Palace is too slow and lacks both a kick and a memorable melody.
Molgera Battle is.. a theme alright. I can tell it a bit, probably have heard it on the radio.


Castle Bleck is alright. Nice instruments.
However.. Magus Battle is just Magus Battle. It's slightly repetitive and has a slow beginning, but..
(By the way, the sound at the end of the video is the time travel tune. The official soundtrack was released on three CDs, and the sound meant that you need to switch over to the next CD. Pretty clever, actually.)

Sounds so beautiful :) Kinda sounds like it could fit in some kind of Pokémon game as well

Last view: 2932 days 		Dragon Roost Island is a great and memorable tune.
Boss 2 from Gorky 17 is subtle, silent and atmospheric. Although I believe it must sound good in context of the game, it gets a no from me.

The Best Is Yet To Come is highly vocal. The song itself is great, packed with emotion.
I'm afraid The Moon is a classic, though... It's just something I could listen to forever.

Match 13: Dragon Roost, definetely. It's just... omigod I love this. Gorky 17's song is ALRIGHT, I guess, but it can't match up to the feeling Dragon Roost gives me. It always makes me happy. Fuckin' love that song.

Math 14: Alright, this match up is really fucking mean... I..... I can't even choose between them. They're both so beautiful. I'm gonna abstain from this one, I can't even.

EDIT: On further thought... I'm gonna go ahead and say Metal Gear. It's was difficult but that'll do.

Match 13: LoZ: WW - Dragon Roost Island. It's pretty catchy, and trumps hands down here.

I am going to echo these votes. It seems to me that the songs that provide atmosphere as well as how they invoke certain feelings (and how well those feelings fit in with the game developers' intended direction) seem to get my vote. Not all the time though, because sometimes I just fucking like a song.

Match 15: VVVVVV - Positive Force. Hard call, but I like the upbeat tune of this track.
Match 16: .hack - Phase 3 Magus the Propagation. The Solstice track was mostly meh.

Last view: 3310 days 		Match 15: VVVVVV - Positive Force. Not the greatest to me, but its the better. I don't like the style of music that the other song was, but it might feel good in the actual game, i haven't played it.

Match 16: Solstice - Title Screen. I enjoy Follin stuff. The other song, kind of cool, but not very uplifting or interesting.
