Online ordering exists in some places here, but not in Gibraltar. Thus it is totally useless to us.

Then again, it's hard enough finding stuff you want when you go into the place - usually it's out of stock - let alone picking it from a website...

I never understood why online ordering is usually limited to certain countries. Charging more for a remote place or somewhere with high tariffs I can understand, but refusing to deliver there at all? And refusing to deliver to a country just because it's small? Seems they'd lose customers, and thus that all-important profit, that way.

On my days off from work, I tend to check pawn and thrift shops for random vintage electronics, computers, etc. :) Tuesday I found a Texas Instruments cassette recorder complete in the box (I didn't even know they made tape recorders? Might have been intended for an educational market or something? I mainly know of them for their various calculators) Also found a Nishika N9000 camera (rather useless except for lomography ;P) and a few random 90s music CDs :D

Well, I'm not sure many groceries could be shipped to different countries very easily... :p

I know you can't ship hazardous goods (batteries, perfume, printer ink, etc.) overseas with USPS AFAIK, so that might be another reason to block shipping outside a certain country? (I know UPS wouldn't have a problem though)

How is perfume hazardous, besides being able to choke asthmatics and other people with various lung conditions?

I think they consider it flammable and thus an explosion risk.

Quite a bit silly, but a US government agency having poorly justified restrictive policies based on paranoia is nothing that surprising in the modern world >_>

At some point they'll consider humans hazardous; by then commercial aviation will be pretty much done for.

9-11 caused the entire world to lose its shit. The terrorists have won. Some anti-terrorism measures make sense, but restricting every liquid in existence and putting people on "no fly lists" just because they're Arab is going too far.

I don't like the idea of giving up a lot of freedom for a little (mostly false) security. If you go far enough along that road, you end up with a hellhole like North Korea, where everyone is tightly controlled every minute of their lives.

Yes, that was a serious post in Craziness ^_~

Nah, everyone knows I'm the asshole around here. And I'm definitely weird.

Lies! A bit late of a post from me but still.

Then again, I haven't been around so for all I know you could be a ninja who uses kittens as adorable distractions before you take your targets down.

Taryn as the Kitty Ninja Master? Hmm, could be! I'd have to go onto my master conspiracy computer to do some more calculations. Maybe play some Deus Ex.

Forget the typical smoke bomb. Make it a giant catnip bomb - lure every cat in the local area.

The Kitty-Ninja is more dangerous than first thought.

It seems sharp kitty claws would also be useful here.

It'd be of sharp material but undetectable by metal detectors. That or suddenly the guards just pass out due to sleepy time gas/darts. The ninja-kitty has no time for airport security.

Honestly, I'm surprised ninja-kitty has to fly commercial airlines :P But the recession affects everyone I suppose...

Yep, I use cute fluffy kittens as shuriken of sorts.

I haven't flown since 2009. I'm not afraid of actually flying, but I am afraid of the TSA and its inspections. For a while, they were inspecting the genitals of flyers because of some underwear bomber.
